Here's what went down to start September(just a couple changes from what ended August):

    prep-NiveaMen Bodywash(Fresh Ice)in shower
    shave-Stoylin Sheep
    brush-Crown King (Spindle Duro Tali)
    razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE
    A,S,-Royal Copenhagen.

I have had great success with Stoylin soaps. No exception today. 2 passes. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Sheep can be used year-round(I think, anyway). With the large pour spout, I have to be careful with the Royal Copenhagen, but all worked out fine this morning. As Outstanding As It Gets. Let's hope all of September' shaves end like this.

    Sept 1 SOTA Shavette/SE September

    Good afternoon.

    Shavette Shave #482
    Dovo
Gillette Wilkinson Sword 1/2 DE (2)
    Barbury Synthetic Brush
Music City Suds Lavender and Ever Amen SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 23.5 hrs

    20230901_165410.jpg

I decided to start this month with my trusty Dovo shavette. It was my very first open blade razor and started using this wonder tool before I bought my first straight razor which was my Dovo Special.
Anyway, I always get a super lather with this soap. Here's my lather:

Did a 3 pass shave, but I could have called it done after my first pass. These Wilkinson Sword blades are nice and smooth, but sharp. I finished with an error-free BBS shave. I didn't have any alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. There wasn't any alcohol burn. I am glad that I started the month with this fine shave. I might use this razor tomorrow because this shave went well. Let's keep it rolling guys. Take care.

    25 hour Sat AM shave
Sterling Bergamot and Lavender (hmm that similar Sterling ‘scent’ but not getting the B and L)
    Simpsons Chubby 2
    Gillette Aluminium Tech again
Started with Rockwell blade, hated these before, revisited today, still don’t like it, dumped the rest, not worth keeping
    Switched to Gillette Platinum……………much better
Usual post, with some Proraso Rinfrescante ASL followed by Cypress and Vetyver

Good damage free start to the Saturday and September

Have a great day and weekend everybody

Very nice shave Chris. I never had a problem with Rockwell blades. Would I buy them again. No, because 15 dollars/100 blades is too high for an average brand. However, my Rockwell 6C and the Rockwell Model T version 1 are very good razors.

    Greetings,

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

For the next month I will be focusing on using my SE razors, Slant razors, and using a variety of Boar, Horse hair, and synthetic brushes and also be using my shave sticks occasionally with my set ups throughout the month and continue to use a variety of DE blades.

The Kent/MWF as always provided me with a wonderful protective slick lather for the shave leaving an excellent post shave feel...I've stated many times in my postings that I could easily shave with Kent/MWF shaving soap forever, but like everyone else I like variety with my shaves.

Another enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Sensitive ASB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Here are my tools for the month. The synthetic brush I pulled from a traveling box several years ago was crafted by @Enrico. I’ll use the New LC for my face and the ATT Windsor for my noggin. I’m returning to DE head shaving after a couple of years of shower shaving with throw away disposables.

Face shaves will be every other day and the head will likely be twice a week. It’s still hot here, so I’ll be using the Proraso/Bigelow cream until it cools off.

Looking forward to seeing all your shaves this month.
