I really like the knot. It does give it the right look.

Happy Friday Everyone and welcome to SEptember. I will use SE razors most of the month but will throw in the occasional DE shave once a week or so. Artisan soaps certainly sink faster than the triple milled stuff. This Ethos is sinking at a rapid rate. Honestly after using triple milled soaps for most of the year, it is nice have a soap sink fast. I hope you guys have a great day.

That is a very nice looking boar knot, Clint. I will follow your lead and use SE razors this month as well.

I’ve had a great run with the Karve the past few weeks, especially giving different base plates than my regular ‘D’ some focused time.
I hope you all have a great weekend.

Maggard has some really good knots at good prices. I have been very impressed with the mixed badger/boar knot that I use in the other ferrule for the brush.

The Karve is a fantastic razor. I will pull out my OC plate for OCtober.

Busted out the Vie-Long Beehive for today's shave.
The Best Badger hair is sublime. The bristles are thin and supple.
Backbone is not this brush's strong-suit, but all is forgiven once the hair caresses your skin.
    Not to mention, the
    outstanding lather it created.
    Take a gander...I'll wait. :eatdrink013:

    You don't see this everyday.
    :signs011:
The DX is a nice tool. The grip is tacky enough---even when wet, to avoid slipping in your hand.
I am fairly certain there's a Feather Professional in there and it was sharp enough to get 'er done.
The stank is from house of Creed. One of their most popular juices.

Aventus? I’d think it is their most popular. What would be the competition…Green Irish Tweed perhaps?
A great sounding shave regardless, Maestro.

I like the Karve razor too, it is my travel razor.
I am fan of the soft knots too, they feel luxurious.

I like Aventus but prefer Green Irish Tweet. Aventus is just a little too much pinanple for me.

Riddled with granules, I pulled up my "big-boy" panties and carried on.
    IMG_7337.jpeg
    The unseen granules abounded.
Nevertheless, the Light Brigade, loaded in the FH, gave a comfortable and smooth shave.
I do enjoy the ASB as in addition to the terrific scent, there is a very subtle cooling effect.
    Have a great weekend.

Happy Saturday and the start of a long holiday weekend. Swati and I have no real plans which is even better. Another wonderful shave to start the day. This razor really works well for me. I will try out on of the other two plates tomorrow. Have a great day guys.

I probably don’t reach for these vintage injectors as much as I should. Super efficient? Meh. Smooth and fun? Yup.
On another note, this knot is my only gelled badger. I’ve come to believe that process is completely unnecessary. Yes, it is pillowy. But then so are most quality badgers.

Happy Sunday Everyone! I decided to try out the sensitive plate on the razor this morning. I did add pressure while shaving and ended up with a near perfect drama free shave. The Atomic Age Bay Rum Star Jelly left my face frozen and feeling great. Swati and I are off to take my Mom out for lunch. I hope you guys have a great day.

Don't reach for this large blade too often.
Not sure why, it shaves great.
    Looks cool, as well.
    Drop-forged, if anyone is interested.

    Lost 4 bristles with today's shave. :angry019:
Granted, I work this brush hard, but never had that issue with the 26mm Aluminum handle. :signs002:

    Arkadia/Shave 102

I'm hanging in there with my Stirling Arkadia 3017 which began on March 5. The soap performs wonderfully, and my two-passers have mostly been near BBS. I may venture headlong (muglong?) into Fast 'n Loose/Supergoop lathering territory to finish off this puck in the next few shaves.

I believe @Frijolero and I are the only two nuts...er shavers...who've exceeded 100 shaves on a single 3017 in this thread. Our agents are still working out the contractual details, so keep an eye out for our upcoming interview with Mantic59.

I hope you all are having a restful Labor Day weekend.
