Prep: Warm shower:/Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body+Face Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Brush: Semogue 1305.
Face & Head Lather.
Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Sticks. (Grated)
Blade: Euromax Platinum Single Edge. ( D1)
Razor: Yaqi SE Katana.

Post:
Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/ Cold Water Face Rinse./ Alum Rub./Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Brut Oceans ASL./ Wilko Men's Moisturiser.

Face & Head shave,

The grated Palmolive shaving soap was the star of the shave this morning....It doesn't matter which way I use the humble Palmolive classic shave stick , it never fails to provide me with a super protective slick lather leaving a good post shave feel. Superb stuff!.

The efficient Katana & Euromax Platinum duo cut through my face & head stubble with effortless ease.

Another enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Wilko Men's Moisturiser.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with Ever-Ready C-40 Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the No Notch Gillette Super Speed Razor and a Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This Florena cream has been sitting underneath the sink in my bathroom for a LONG time - perhaps ten years but it still performs like a champ. Do I ever love the scent, the lather whips up so easily, it turns thick, rich, slick as well as protective, and the chamomile in it leaves my skin feeling so comfortable and relaxed. The Aveeno moisturizer is so soothing, the Polar Ice aftershave is a Canadian barbershop classic, and the Aramis fragrance is so beautiful. Two passes were enough to give me a great BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

Razor : Razorock German 37 slant, Mfg 2016>, tame mid range. Received my first BBS shave with this razor with a GSB 6 years ago. Well built to last with some care and does have some blade tab overhang. This razor works well with a Personna red I recall also. Had a comfortable close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock Permasharp (2) sharp and smooth with some longevity.
Soap : La Toja stick, very mild smoke scent(?) with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR German 37 slant with a 7oClock Permasharp.

A SlimGem shave for a great day.

About fourteen years ago, I acquired a birth year Gillette Slim Adjustable and an Ornate Handle Ever-Ready GEM 1912. And with these two machines, not only did I take a peek down this crazy rabbit hole, but I tripped and fell right in, and never looked back. I learned a lot from the wet-shaving community and met a lot of great contributors along the way. My vintage razor collection is nothing to brag about, and it consists of the usual suspects, but oh, what fun it is. And so, for every birthday, I always try to make it a SlimGem kind of shave.
