Friday September 8 - S is for September - Single Edge, Synthetic, Splash, Sheep; Supply, Schick, Stirling

Prep: warm water face wash with MdeC bar soap
Razor: Supply 2.0 injector with SE comb plate / Schick Plus Platinum (3)
    Brush: Supply Synthetic Silvertip
Soap: Stirling Scots Pine mutton tallow and lanolin
Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Stirling Scots Pine Splash
Last shave Wednesday morning - 48 hours

Once again, I used a Single-edged injector razor made by Supply, paired with a vintage American-made Schick blade. The synthetic silvertip brush was also by Supply. Stirling provided the shaving soap, from their "sheep" lineup of soaps made with mutton tallow and with lanolin. They also made the Splash.

I face lathered, did an error-free two passes with the smooth, sharp old Schick blade cushioned by the incredible slippery glide of the Stirling mutton tallow soap. The lanolin in the soap provides a great post-shave skin feel. However, I used a dash of the Stirling splash anyway.

The Stirling Scots Pine is a strong pinewoods scent. It reminds me of our old family cabin at a lake in the northern coniferous forest area of Saskatchewan. After using the soap and putting on the splash, I left the bathroom smelling like a lumberjack and filled with a tremendous urge to go operate heavy machinery...

In less than 2 hrs, I will be meeting with some of my former high school classmates as a prelude to our 50th reunion celebration tomorrow evening. Therefore, I think it's appropriate to shave before I head on out even though I still look socially acceptable.
Anyway, I picked the VdH razor because it's mild and my stubble isn't crazy. Besides, why risk a weeper? Lol!
I chose the CC North bundle because it is not a strong scent and why waste a stronger scent a such a small gathering. It's a 2 hour get together at one place and then they are going to another place. I am only staying for the 2 hr session because I am going to see a concert as well.. Anyway, here's today's lather:

Did a 3 passer for an error-free BBS result. The alum feedback was slight so I was a little surprised, but I did some buffing so that probably contributed to it. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to finish this nice shave. Well I am getting ready to leave in a few minutes. Take care.
