1. on this pic it looks like the blade exposure varies from side to side, but I guess this is just perspective right? I see this alignment issue on my Fatip Lo Storto from time to time


2. Since you are keen to emphasise technique I wonder if I might pose this question. Getting the angle right, coming off the cap on to the blade, is fine on the flats, how do you manage around the curved bits, e.g. jawline and adam's apple? Single long flowing stroke or short sequential passes?

The prospective is an issue on my photo so it doesn't really show the correct aspect of the razor.
I didn't have any issue with the blade aliment.

With the face shave I do short strokes, that keeps the aliment of the blade consistent.
It takes time to learn the riding the cap tenique.
I always ride the cap, so going around the jaw line can take some practice.

It's not a natural way of shaving.
I saw someone was riding the bar on this razor and I don't recommend that.
I do use a feather blade, so that may be the reason for the difference.



Looks like I need to do a video On riding the cap.

While is is still warm and muggy here on LI with Joe, @Trigger, sweating bullets, the Autumn season is quickly approaching. I do enjoy the cooler crisp air of early Fall. Also, this time of year, at least for the next 12 + weeks will feature more often than not the DG Darkfall for my DG Micromatic Mondays.

The MMBT performed as expected providing a close and comfortable shave. Given that it was the 10th with this blade I did notice a slight difference in the smoothness factor of the upper lip. I don’t know whether I should call this area Prickly Pear Domain, Dinkleberry Pass or Whomedo Trail. Nah, upper lip is straight forward enough for me.
