A milestone sotd for me this big ole Fon wedge provided a effortless bbs shave, it also happens to be the first blade I've honed myself from bevel set to finish. Super proud of this one! Rubab firefly for applying a luscious lather from moon soaps havana and of course matching aftershave!!

I have a question that has been puzzling me for some time.

I have a couple razors that have no safety bar of any kind.
They aren't open comb but they aren't straight razors either.

What would they be classified as.

You might try posting that in the safety razor section I'm sure someone over there may know , it looks old I'll tell you that much

They look like a single edge and a double edge razor - variations of a safety razor. The black one looks like it might be a RazorRock.

I know what they are.
The brass one is a De-vett custom made and b uses a DE Blade.
The other one is a Razorock Blackhawk I took off the safety bar and thinned out the top cap so I could get a better angle of attack.
I use Feather blades in the DE, and Feather super pro in the SE Blackhawk.


I was wondering what classification they would fit in, definitely hybirds.
They shave close like a shavette but handle like a safety razor.

You could start a thread about this in the safety razor forums. It's not a straight razor or shavette. This is a thread for straight razor shave of the day.
