    Good afternoon.

    Straight Razor Shave #487
    6/8 Ralf Aust Cocobolo Scales
    Hembree-Maggard Timberwolf Synthetic Brush
    Stirling Spice SS and AS
    Old Spice (Shulton) Cologne
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 21.5 hrs

    Ok, I picked out my other Ralf Aust with cocobolo scales. This one is for Barry @palmolive fox since he likes cocobolo wood. This blade I honed on my films a few years ago and it's still sharp. It should be because it is only the 15th shave since I sharpened it. Lol! I am going to services in an hour so I wanted to smell nice and Stirling Spice fits the bill. Sorry, I didn't download a lather pic. Sometimes, I can't download a pic unless I delete pics. It's a screwed up program.

    Anyway, did 3 passes for a nice, comfortable and bloodless shave. I had very little feedback from the alum. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. Lightly put on the Old Spice Cologne. Take care.

    P. S. Finally got to delete photos so that I can download this shave's lather. Here it is:

    SE Shave # 350 - Sample Soap Sunday Shave - ECWS Birthday Cake

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: PAA Injector - Type L
    Blade: Persona Injector
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Monster 26mm
    Lather: Ginger’s Garden ECWS Birthday Cake
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
    Nivea Sensitive Balm

    Superb m afternoon dual shave, mug and dome. One pass for the dome and two for the mug. Yes, Joe, @Trigger, a rarity but I did not have my buzzer with me in the Southern Den. The missus has not noticed yet.

    Both shave were completed without incident. The AV Ice Blue adds a nice finishing touch. Now, we shall head off to dinner with the cousins before settling in for some Sunday Night Football.

    Hope you all had an enjoyable day.

    2 shaves today. One for the face and later one for the scalp. I had a frisbee golf event in the early afternoon so shaved the face to be presentable this morning and then the scalp to get ready for the week this evening.

    Both were uneventful. The Stick Schick did an admirable job of taking down 2 days growth on my face and later took off 4 days of scalp stubble very well. Both were 2 pass shaves with minor touch ups.

    Prep: wash and wet and shower
    Lather: Bigelow
    Brush: Synthetic
    Razor: Stick Schick
    Blade: Chick (2 and 3)
    Post: Alum and TSD Lime - man that bottle just goes on and on!

    Great shave and pic, Gary. That Aristocrat is a gorgeous razor.

    I noticed the Jayaruh brush too - the zebrawood is striking. I agree with Joe - he does make awesome brushes. I am a proud adoptee of some myself!

    And I almost shudder to ask Mr. Enabler this, but I have noticed the MacDuffs Soap Company products at Top of the Chain -- and had about five sets of them saved in my Wishlist there for years now.... What are they like?

    25 Sep 2023 got to get back to SEptember

    (Sterling, Synthetic, Sample, Single Edge)

    26 hours

    25 Sep 2023.jpg

    Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Proraso Pre shave
    Soap / Cream = Sample Sterling Barber Shop
    Brush = Razorock Plissoft
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Schick (E I think) Canadian, first time use of...latest acquisition
    Blade = Personna Injector PTFE (day 6)
    Passes = 3 +
    Post = Usual CWR, alum, CWR, Thayers, Rinfrescante
    Scent = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver Cologne
    Damage = none

    Score = 9 / 10
    Comments = Minimal left over lower right neck. Super smooth elsewhere. This Schick somehow seems smoother than the Everlast Hydromagic, maybe because the blade is now day 6
    I could get fond of it, could easily be a daily shaver
