Thanks John. I need to use both my Ralf Aust straights more frequently. I have so many types of razors that it's sometimes hard to pick one. Lol!

Wonderful shave Cbris. Does your razor open so it is easier to clean. If not, then it's not an E-1 or an E-2.

Nice way to close out(for now)the Bay Rum combo of the Wet The Face soap and Stephan. A.S. Ckean and clear all around, goose eggs for the Cuts, Knicks, Polka dots, Fine finish from the Stephan. A decision to make when I run out of the Stephan...buy another one or work with the Gabels Bay Rum for a while. As Outstanding As It Gets for the shave.

    Hello all.

I've had an issue with my head shave for a few days and thought I'd share.

Working outside I've cut the top and back of the gourd due to carelessness, not bad, but enough to cause some bleeding and a slight scabing.
Well today I've done something I rarely do.
I'm using my Razorock OC Hawk for the face and a much milder GEM MMOC for the head shave.
A new blade in both for good measure as always. I think I might get 3 shaves from the Feather super pro because of only shaving the mug, but time will tell.

A two pass on the face and a one pass on the head is a DFS for the day.
As expected, the MMOC glided over the problem areas but still mowed down the hair, giving a good smooth look and feel.
Hoping in a few days things will heal up and get back to my normal routine.
The Hawk left me fine for the day ahead.

There it is if it helps anyone.

    Enjoy

Thank you Joe. Thx for the correction too, as far as I can make out its a Canadian fixed spring with side tabs, so E3 version 4 or 5 or 6. Nice shaver, great condition, the box is very worn but that doesn't worry me because I can't shave with the box anyway Lol!

thank you John.i will put my "enabler " voice on .:D.they are fantastic, very impressed by what i thought was just another silly soap company name.never really gave them a thought as i never see them here.lovely rich scent, slick lather.they have Winter and Spring Cabin offerings as well.decent prices.my only concern with these artisans is how long they stay in business.when i want something it seems discontinued.i have stopped buying A & E products for this reason.they always change.:):eatdrink047:

Terrific shaves Terry. Your post illustrates the importance to have a backup plan when you have to do a shave following a subpar one
