September 23 , 2023 Leaf Twif Proline Shavemac CH2 Synthetic Ethos Bay Rum Shave Soap PAA Atomic Bay Rum Aftershave Happy Saturday everyone. I have had a busy morning pressure washing the front porch and walkway. A nice chilly shave was in order so I added some B&M Terrorade to the soap before lathering. Wow! A very long lasting face freeze made me feel much better. I will not be surprised if this soap is done and dusted before the end of next weekend. Have a great day everyone and take care.
Nice shave, Joseph, but Arko and Clubman provide far superior results. Other than your razor, soap, and aftershave, you did OK.

Swati and I have had a busy morning getting ready for out of town guest. Fortunately they are our home for only the afternoon. We both still have so much work left from the office that needs to be done before tomorrow morning. Another excellent shave this morning. The Twig razor punches well above its weight. It was getting hard to load the remaining soap so I moved it to a lather bowl. I hope everyone has a great day and take care.
I can't speak for "Aaaako"(some Bostonian in there lol), but Clubman Hair-Styling Gel is the thing of things (course if you like Clubman, that is).
Agreed. My baritone friend loaned me his and it was surprisingly easy to wield and held the blade (1/2) quite securely. Have a great Sunday with you friend!
Sunday, September 24 Le Père Lucien Bay Rum~~Simpson M7~~1908 Gillette SR/Polsilver I have to say, this soap is not my fav. I have never been fond of the European's "take" on Bay Rum. This soap builds a nice-looking lather, but it's not as slick as my tallow iterations. Post shave is meh. I took a few minutes cleaning up the SR. It was quite tarnished. Flitz to the rescue. Polsilver blade is binned. A while back, I did a comparison of Polsilver/Wizamet blades, and if I remember correctly, this original Polsilver came in dead last. YMMV, naturally. Continuing the 3017'ing of the ASB.
Day 48 Schick E3 Omega Pro/ Brass & Walnut Asylum/ SV Colonia Thayers Myrsol Lemon We ended up going out to the lake this weekend. Last weekend out there as a family for this year. I ended up not shaving, so today was a full 3 pass reduction of 72hrs worth. This little, light Injector handled it easily. Have a great day all.

Stirling Arkadia/Shave # 116 September 25 My Stirling Arkadia 3017 began on 3/5 and wrapped up at 0500 today with 116 shaves. This concludes the latest chapter in my shaving memoir. An unexpected highlight for me was gaining an appreciation for bowl lathering, putting an abrupt end to miserly lathering practices. A ticker tape parade is being planned in my hillbilly town in honor of this momentous milestone of shaving history. I’ve got a pack of hound dogs shredding newspapers. When we get a pile of confetti, a few kids will pitch it off the roof of the local gas station while we drive our trucks by. My Bride will drive our truck with me perched in my lawn chair in the truck bed. I’ll take some time now to use a few different products until everyone is ready to begin the Mike’s 3017. I plan to mostly bowl lather the Mike’s in ‘fast ‘n loose on steroids’ mode. In the meantime, I’ll continue to 3017 a bottle of Fine L’Orange Noir aftershave and my stockpile of Astra SP DE blades. For the next few days, I will use my travel shave kit with a Tabac shave stick. I hope your week started off well. All is quiet here in Asheville, NC.
