Very nice shave with a hidden gem of a soap. Scent?

Smells like soap Joe. Too many scents to detect and well, let's face it, years have passed since I opened the container! But I think the base is a TSD Cedar soap, but it also has some Dusy Cabinett and a few other bobs and bits.

It just works, easy to lather and makes a slick and shiny coating to get the job done.

 

Excellent shave Joe. Glad you enjoy the Ach. Brito Mogno. Creepers can be exasperating. Oh well, I am glad that you can hold a straight again.

Well it took 5 years to get to the magic # 1000 open blade/ straight razor shaves and hit 500 traditional straight razor shaves. I also did a headshave with the Rockwell T1 to crown (pun intended) these 2 milestones.
I chose one of my favorite soaps to mark this special occasion. Here's my lather:



Did 3 passes on the dome and face. I got a cueball smooth shave on the dome, but got some irritation on the nape. I guess I pressed a little to hard. The face was BBS and the neck was near BBS without issues. Alum was silent except on the back of the neck which was to be expected with the irritation. Applied the witch hazel to tone down my skin and then splashed the glorious matchimg aftershave. Now, I no longer consider myself a beginner in straight razor shaving and moved on to the intermediate level. I consider my self a master straight shavet when I have 1000 traditional straight shaves and 1000 shavette shaves. So, I am halfway there as of today. ETA October 2028. Take care.
