So the Mrs. C is at a conference in the capital of the Empire State. I am sure there are many other places she would rather be instead of dreary Albany. Those members of the 30DC that have been around a while might be able to answer the following g question. With the missus away what may have changed in my shaving routine this morning?

This morning’s shave feature the Kilix soap. The scent profile is as follows: An elegant woody accord with notes of bergamot and cardamom, on a floral heart of iris, heliotrope, and violet. This unique blend of fragrances is then complemented by a base of cedarwood, sandalwood, amber, Tonka, and a touch of oud.”

I did my usual three pass shave which yield stellar results. No irritation or ten minute weepers today. Hope you all have had an enjoyable day.

Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
Face Lather.
Lather: Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap.
Blade: Gillette London Bridge. (D2)
Razor: FaTip Grande.

Early morning shave.

An enjoyable smooth shave to finish my shaving week wonderfully...Out of all the Sandalwood soaps/creams that I have sampled Proraso is my firm favourite. I'll be adding it to my rotation more regular over the autumn/winter months along with a few other soaps I haven't used for quite some time.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.

Lazy pre-work shave

Prep = usual
Soap / Cream = Stirling Barber Shop
Brush = Omega 49
Bowl = Timeless

Razor = Rocket HD
Blade = Elios (1) super sharp and smooth,

I am more and more comfortable with this combo

Passes = only 2 passes were needed, so something is working out just fine
Technique = WTG XTG, still changing my choreography as the mood takes me: follow the razor!
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers, Rinfrescante, Vetyver
Scent = Guerlain pour homme
Damage = None

Score = another pleasing 9.5/10
Comments = Best results on 48 hours astroturf

Another great shave Barry, How many other blades are made in China? I have read these have good reviews

Wonderful shave Barry. Although I have used Proraso Green, I have never tried the Sandalwood. I have heard TOBS Sandalwood is supposed to be very good.

Thanks Chris and no, there is not an actual 1000 straight shave club. It's just an American figure of speech. In baseball, if someone hits a career milestone like hitting 500 home runs, then we say that he is in the 500 HR club.
