    Good afternoon.

    Assured for Men/Dollar Tree Razor
    Assured for Men DE Blade (fresh)

    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel

    I decided to go with my $1:29 razor because it gives me a BBS shave everytime. It is very aggressive. The blade is a little rough, but it smooths out as the shave progresses.
    Here's my lather:

    Did WTG, XTG and ATG passes for an error-free BBS shave. I had very little alum feedback . Applied Witch hazel and the matching aftershave to finish this nice shave. Take care.

    A new eclectic shave set up to the weekend...I haven't used the HWF soap for a while and forgot how good it is for my mature skin.

    An enjoyable comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Gibellini X-Bolt EdT to the chest & pulse points.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine. ;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen. :cool:

    21 Oct 2023 (finally an OC for October)

    50 hours

    21 Oct 2023 1400 100.jpg

    Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Proraso Pre shave
    Soap / Cream = End of Stirling Barber Shop sample, at last the tub is empty
    Brush = Omega Pura Setola, another great bristle brush for hard soaps
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette OC "Nacet/7 o'clock"
    Blade = Elios (2)
    Passes = 2.5 + touch ups
    Post = CWR, Alum gave minimal feedback, CWR, Thayers followed by Proraso Lozione Dopobarba, Barbe Dure ASL
    Scent = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver Cologne
    Damage = What Damage?

    Score = > 9.5 / 10. Starting to conquer the troublesome Zone 8 right side of Adam’s Apple, patient multidirectional light buffing needed with appropriate skin stretching, aided by leaning the head back and lengthening the neck, make like a giraffe

    Comments = Last use of the Barber Shop soap. A sad goodbye, but time to move on

    I normally like a fresh blade per shave, but thought I would play it safe and use the Elios for a 2nd day with this OC razor. Fine choice and fine shave

    This beat up old Razor performed really well, proving to me that a razor does not have to look nice to perform well. Scratched, dented, worn, but the Stirling soap provided the protection needed. I won’t be so hesitant to look at scruffy razors in future, but really I have all I need and more

    A wonderful start to the day

    The Vetyver has a wonderful smoky, musty, woody scent of a recently burnt but recovering rain forest with a hint of tree sap and burnt embers that lasted most of the day. Just amazing

    Have a wonderful Saturday one and all

    Just be careful that you don’t fall down the rabbit hole too deeply. Hope you find some interesting software. Come back with plenty of samples.

    Too bad the weather is not so conducive for walking around the streets of the concrete jungle.
