Prep: Warm shower:/ Nivea Men Power 24H Fresh Effect Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Semogue 830.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Scottish Fine Classic Shaving Soap.
Razor: Parker 24C. (Face) - Gillette London Bridge. (D3)
Razor: Gillette Guard. (Head) (D3)

Post:
Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/ Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./ Alum Rub./Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel/Nivea Men Replenishing PSB./Denim Original ASL.

Early morning Shave,

The Gillette London Bridge blade paired together with the Parker 24C wonderfully feeling Smooth sharp, and efficient.

A wonderful performance from the Semogue 830 boar.

My cold-water shaves are starting to feel very brisk now that Autumn has arrived. I actually like this season, love the different colours of the falling leaves.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Denim Original ASL.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.

Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Proraso Pre shave
Soap / Cream = Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic sample
Brush = Omega Pura Setola
Bowl = Timeless
Razor = Merkur 37 C
Blade = Voskhod (1)
Passes = 3 + many touch ups needed
Post = Usual + plus Rinfrescante
Damage = none

Score = > 8 / 10

Comments = Interesting, first use of this Stirling soap. Nice mild Menthol aspect. I thought this would lather as easily as the Barbershop, but no, too frothy and less slick. Added some glycerine for the third pass.
This shave was hard work, I was disappointed with the 37C, I remember it being better than this. I felt it was not nearly as efficient as my OC or even the Rocket HD
Perhaps my lather was not up to scratch?

Either way, no damage was done and there is always another day

Super dual shave and nice setup Barry.

 

I haven't shaved much with my Stoylin Ramblin Man, so I was glad to get back to it for today. I just wish the overall result was better than it turned out to be. I mean, I was PLEASED, but it should have been better. I knew I had to work hard since I had the Clubman Pinaud brush(not my favorite or best, as I said before). Clean and clear on the cheeks&sideburn, as well as Cactus Nation(neck). Problems on North AND South Porcupine. Redness. Pain-free, though, but you can't fake redness. when it shows up. I know I'm in the minority when I say this, but it was a "tools trump technique" shave all along Porcupine. Might even flip the brush. What's that....me flip a Clubman product???? Yeah, I know....weird. But it just doesn't compare to the larger brushes in my arsenal. The cold-water rinse and aftershave helped neutralize the two cuts. Hope to do better tomorrow with a larger brush. Pretty Outstanding.

 

Still a pretty good shave Chris! I have never used Margaritas in the Arctic, but have used the über mentholated soap Cryogen. Heavily mentholated soaps need lots of water to make a decent lather.

Will try again tomorrow with my Omega 49 and see what happens

Good tip for the Cryogen and the extra water needed, I will keep that in mind

I decided to have a typical 1950's old- fashioned setup for this morning’s shave.
Had an errorless 3 pass BBS shave. I remember when I first got this razor a few years back and wasn't impressed with it. After awhile, the more I used it; the better I got with it. Practice does make perfect. I never get a bad shave with Cella.
Here's my lather:



The alum was silent. Finished with my usual postshave routine. I just love this Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. I know that it's not for everyone, but it gives that old mid 50's vibe. Take care.

I had the same initial reaction with my 1959 Red Tip. I have since learned to enjoy my shave with the razor as my technique improved. Very nice Cella shave Joe.
