    Outstanding shave this morning. Perfect scent for the chill in the air. I fired up the fireplace last night for the first time the heating season. Of course, by the weekend the temperatures will be pushing 70 again.

    Three passes with the JR Torrey left my face smooth and velveteen. I am about 6 hours post shave, my face still feels super smooth.

    I broke down this morning as the brush rabbit hole gravitational force overruled my willpower. Arriving to the den within the next few days

    Thanks Joe. It was a wonderful trip. I would say that if any wetshaver is in NY for business or vacation, then they must stop at Pasteur's Pharmacy. My brain was overloaded to say the least.

    Thanks Joe. I sort of wondered if DE shaving would ever become just a routine like shaving used to be with multi-bladed monstrosities and canned goo, but I've discovered that even I use all of the same gear and products it still feels great and is so very relaxing.

    Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Proraso Pre shave
    Soap / Cream = Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    Brush = Omega 49
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Merkur 37 C slant
    Blade = Gillette Platinum (1)
    Passes = 3 with intra-pass touch ups as needed
    Post = Usual, followed by Old Spice ASL
    Damage = happy to report that there was no damage, back on track!

    Score = 9.5 / 10

    Comments = A better performance today. It is almost as if the soap came alive on its 2nd day out. Much better lather and slickness. Quite pleasingly chilly, especially on the third pass. Super smooth shave. The 37 C could really be a daily shaver for me, unlike the Open combs, which I prefer to use on 48 hour growth or more. It takes a bit of adjusting to the flatness of the cap rather than the curves on other razors.

    A very productive morning, 5:30 -8:30, with preparation of lunches for the missus and my son, the X3 Bar Push workout and hot shower/cold water shave.

    The morning’s shave featured my first Shavette, of which I have 5, to my respective dens, Northern and Southern. I managed to get a reasonably close shave with this blades fifth and final shave. I enjoyed the feel and scent of this software. Three passes did the job nicely. I am ready for my breakfast with Joe at our favorite meeting place. I am sure he will bring his new toys from the Pasteur meet up this past Saturday.

    I just returned from breakfast with Joe. Joe recounted his day in NYC and the boat load of information he encountered at New York’s premier shaving establishment. Additionally, he gave me a sample of a soap from the Ukraine which I will try this upcoming Sunday.

    He 37c in my den is the first DE razor I purchased for myself 28 years ago. Love the shaves I get with it. Fabulous shave Chris.
