Wonderful shave Joe. It was a Saturday event. Darn those autocoreect things. Lol! It's funny that I wasn't sure to bring my Rolls Razor, but I guess you know me better than I. Lol!

Back with same this morning, but a better brush-the Stoylin "No-Name" synthetic. Very pleased overall, but a cut ruined what shouldhave been a top-ranked shave. Some "light whisker action" leftover down at Cactus. Elsewhere, very well done. The Stoylin Ramblin Man got me a lot of friendly looks at the hospital yesterday, but no "Wow, what is that you're wearing?" persuasions. It's nice stuff. The cold-water rinse and A.S. took care of the redness of the cut. Most Outstanding.

    Good afternoon.

    King C Gillette Heritage Razor
Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (2,3)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
    Stirling Spice SS, AS
    Old Spice Cologne
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 29 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3 days

I needed a headshave as well as a faceshave so I decided to bring out a mild razor with a blade that had only one shave. The Heritage Razor got the call. It's a nice travel razor that has a clam shell case, but it cannot be aboard a plane as carry-on under the new rules. Best to take this razor on short trips via auto.

I went whole hog on the software because I added the Old Spice Cologne in the mix. Usually I reserve it for special occasions, but I said to myself that just being alive is a special occasion. Plus, I like the Stirling Spice scent as well. Here's my lather:

    20231025_163204.jpg

Did 3 passes on face and dome for an error-free BBS shave. Did get some alum feedback under my chin and on just above the nape. Splashed on the soothing witch hazel and then the matching aftershave. The piece de resistance was the Old Spice Cologne. I smell, feel and look great. I am off to service this evening. Take care.

Fellas, thanks once again for your well-wishes for my thyroid ultrasound. I just got the reseluts back. I have two thyroid NODULES(a wod I've seen around here!), but they both are TR1(whatever that means)so no further action is needed.

    SRS # 983 - OUDtober Shave - British Empire

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Double Duck Twin Duck Special #1
    Brush: Jayaruh 329 Boar
    Lather: Ginger’s Garden British Empire
    Aftershave: Ginger’s Garden British Empire
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Beautiful morning yielded one beautiful shave.
Today’s software, Ginger’s Garden British Empire, made its maiden voyage. I have had this software in the den for a while and finally decided to give it a shave. The scent profile is as follows: “Crisp citrus, exotic oud, golden amber, rich sandalwood and white musk.”
To my nose, this is not an overly dark scent. There is a freshness and lightness to it that I smelled periodically through my early morning walk around the neighborhood.
I have had the pleasure of using a few of Irene
Marchu’s soaps. This is my third. The soap, on the hard side, easily whips up into a slim and thick lather. I take an almond size scoop and press it into one of my lather bowls.

My usual three passes left my face super smooth and irritation free.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Adding the cologne to the soap had nothing to do with my wisdom at breakfast? Really now!

    Great shave Joe.

Fine Throwback shave this morning. It appears the WTF Bay Rum soap gets thicker the closer it gets to the end. Worx for me! Real nice job all around, except for N. Porcupine Alley, where our mustaches grow. I'll be sure to get that tomorrow. I'm surprised I missed it there. Actuallly, I got SOME of it, just not the middle. No cuts, Knicks, polka-dots. 2 passes. The Stephan B.R. Aftershave was great, as usual. Most Outstanding.

Thanks Joe. I didn't add the cologne to the soap. I applied it after splashing on the aftershave.
