I haven't used my Rockwell 6C for a faceshave so I was due to use it. However, I have used it for my headshaves. I wanted to use the Lakewood Lard Lass in order to finish it. Mission accomplished. I really liked its performance and the scent, but unfortunately, it's unobtainable. Thanks Joe @JACarbone for giving me this sample.
    Here's my lather:

I did a 3 pass shave without any issues and received a BBS result. Had some alum feedback on my neck. Followed the witchazel with the Fine Accoutrements Platinum aftershave to end this session. Take care.

Wonderful shave Joe. Yes, it is unattainable but Linda has others that are top notch.

Thanks Joe. I am sure she has a nice selection. I know Danny @Hembree has used Lakewood soaps and likes them, too.

Thanks Joe, it was such a good shave I decided to repeat it today, in line with the focus of this thread, even though it will turn out to be only a mini-focus

Same again, repeat of yesterday the 26th, which turned out well

This, for me, is one of those setups when everything comes together nicely

Only one minor glitch, some over-buffing in the left lower neck left me with a small red bump, no blood, no pain, my fault for going over the area ATG too often

I will go carefully over that area until the bump goes away

Just to play it safe I added some Tabac after shave balm as well as the Tabac Lotion

Chin and right lower neck turned out just fine, super smooth all over

Also starting to tackle the back of the neck below the hairline with the DE razor, so far so good, one side really needs using the left hand to get around the back, interesting

Off to the local hospital today for my wife's 2nd hydrotherapy session, what a great service they provide, they are to be commended. She is due to attend there twice a week for 12 weeks and so far is enjoying it immensely

We are blessed to have this service so close to home

An hour and a half in the pool for a full body workout, focusing on core exercises but covering every muscle in the body, looks like quite a work out!

Have a Fantastic Friday one and all and a super weekend ahead

Once again, you had a terrific shave Chris. I use both hands when I shave my head. I have to use my left (non-dominant) hand to clean my left nape. Hitting that area with my right hand doesn't cut it. Lol! I am sure your wife's hydrotherapy sessions are helping her.

Today's shave had a rough beginning(cuts&Knicks were present), and less rough but still bad ending(glorified polka-dot at Cactus Nation).. Elsewhere it was fine...clean and clear at cheeks&sideburns, as well as most of Porcupine. In the end, the cold-water rinse and aftershave helped calm things down, to a degree. I need to ease up on razor use. An old member here liked to use the word "bullpen" to describe how his shaves looked better in the end than as he was in the shave action. I'd say that's what happened here, saved for the aforementioned glorified polka-dot. Stephan is a classic aftershave, with having skin-food as its strength. Pretty Outsnading. Hopefilly 3 days of Stoylin will achieve better results(beginning tomorrow).

Yes thanks Joe, that's cool to be able to shave with the non-dominant hand

Believe it or not, it's easier to shave with a straight using both hands instead of one. It was easier to transfer my ability to use both hands when I use my other razors. However, I must admit it feels strange when I use my left hand shaving with my safties then it does with my straights and shavettes.

Did a 3 pass shave that gave me a near BBS shave without any bloodshed. This razor is much more aggressive than my I-1 so I really needed to be light on my touch. Still, I got a slight irritation on my neck, but it was in a small area.
My lather was airy so that it was very thin, but still slick. I was experimenting to see how much water it could take in a short amount of time. I must say I still had a slick lather to get a nice shave. Here's my lather:

    20231027_160007.jpg

Did have some significant alum feedback and I believe it was due to my lather being almost transparent. Finished this shave in my usual manner. Take care.
