Lemon Pledge on the furniture, Lemon Pine-Sol on the kitchen floors...no problem. Slathering skeeter-be-gone all over my face ain't hap'nin'.
I tried shaving with a bar of green Zest soap once, and it wasn't the best. Smelled good, but left my face a bit itchey.
Sterling and Razorock are great soaps reasonably priced + good price per once of soap + free shipping when you reach the sweet spot amount ($50-$60) that triggers the free shipping deal.
Anyone know if those Dove 3 in 1 bars of soap is good enough for shaving? I know it says its for face, body and shaving.. It seems budget friendly enough but don't know.. Like would it provide good glide and hydration to the skin? Would it damage a synthetic brush (probably very stupid to ask that.. But Damn it I love how my shave brush looks, it's so pretty!)
I had a sliver left from what I was using in the shower, pressed it into a small bowl, and lathered it up. Not bad. Not bad at all. But since they sell shaving soap to shave with, and shower soap to shower with, I'll purchase accordingly.
they are very good for shaving,it meets or beats many shave soaps out there..very slick, nice lather, nice post shave.
This is hard to answer without more information. How extreme are we talking here and how much performance are you willing to sacrifice? For pure economy, Arko. A lot of people don't like the artificial lemon pledge scent but it's fairly slick. Awful post shave. Leaves a weird residue. Will leave your face tight and dry. Razorock shave sticks. They come in a set of 4 different scents. Can often be found for $10 for the set putting it at the same price per stick as Arko but with slightly better performance and safer scent variety. Cella kg block is a larger initial purchase but would last you years if stored correctly. Almond scent with superior performance to Arko. If you want superior performance with excellent post to boot, get Stirling. Artisan performance from people that care about their products vs. Indifferent employees. Enormous scent selection unlike Arko/Cella. Excellent performance... excellent. This is what I recommend because you're very likely going to end up buying nicer soaps anyway. I wish I'd wasted less time in the utilitarian tier of soaps and come straight here. Shannon's and Mike's Naturals are also fantastic artisan tier brands in the $9.99-$14 range.
Thats sort of similar to "just open the window, the smell will mellow out" when you come home from a month long vacation and realize no one had come over to feed the dog..
i am searching, but i cant find this product on the dove website. let alone retailers. have a quick link to share?

Me too If it was all I had to use, I’d have no complaints. Kind of wish I had tried it sooner. But glad to have finally gotten around to it.
i had heard of kilo blocks a long time ago but thought cella was the only one.my cella tub went rancid so i tossed it.the vito's seems to be a different type of base.the kilo of green is stored in a dark cool dry place so it should last a long time.
I’m working on a Kilo of the green as well. May opt for the red next time. But that’s going to be a while. Keeping mine stored in the refrigerator right now. I’ve heard from others that the fridge does a good job. Haven’t gotten around to refilling the Old Spice mug with it yet. But look forward to that. Did you notice that after you cut off a piece, that you use for shaving. That the almond scent faded away after a couple of weeks or so? Mine seems to have.
