  3. Great intro as usual, Joe!

For me, I am going to continue using the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Shave Cream until the tube is finally used up. So it will be a No Variant Neutrogena November until I Titanic it, then I will probably switch to No Theme.
  4. Friday November 3 mid-afternoon - Neutrogena No Variant November

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo 20% laurel bay oil soap
Razor: Supply 2.0 injector with SE comb plate / vintage US-made Schick Plus Platinum (17)
Soap: Neutrogena Skin Clearing Shave Cream
    Brush: none
    Lather Bowl: none
Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Lucky Tiger Face Tonic
Last shave: Monday just after midnight - about 4.5 days

Once again, I Remained Strong and stuck with my Cunning Plan(TM) to Titanic the Neutrogena shave cream tube.

One pass was sufficient. The vintage Schick blade is still fine after 16 previous shaves -- it wiped the whiskers away as though they were just part of the lather. Alum was silent. The orange-scented Lucky Tiger Face Tonic provided a nice finish.

I left my upper lip unshaved as I am considering doing Movember this year.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

  6. Hmmm. Now that my MWF is gone, I may have to replace Fat Friday with Fougere Friday. I could also do Vetiver Vednesday....

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave)

New set up to start the weekend... my recent sandalwood fragranced shave have made me reach for the LEA Classic Sensitive Shaving Cream which i haven't used in some time and is great for the autumn & winter months. The sandalwood scent is different comparing it to the Proraso sandalwood scent it's more of a light fresh sweet scent to my nose with a nice mild menthol kick feel and pairs together really well with the Floid ASL.

The dependable Supply V2 as always mowed through my head stubble with effortless ease. Injector razors are such comfortable efficient shaving tools especially for head shaving.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Floid Mentolado Vigoroso ASL.

My face & precious swede are both feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

  8. Thanks Joe, warming up here down under.

Well, that's good to know about the Cella, and the loading technique. I do enjoy the Cella scent, so based on what you have said, will continue to scoop from the tub to the bowl and keep the lid in place for as long as possible

Thanks Joe, liking the Cella scent and performance

Thank you John, it's a winner

  9. Great report and pic!

Something to consider with the Supply V2 injector -- adding the SE baseplate.

I bought it for my Supply V2 -- separately directly from Supply. The SE is the comb plate that is supposedly "nick proof". And it almost is. I have the three original baseplates and haven't used any of them since getting the SE.

    DE Shave # 489

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Gillette SS Blue Tip TTO (1956 B-1)
Brush: Jayaruh 337 with Omega #49 Boar
    Lather: Stirling Spice
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (5)
    Aftershave: B & M Reserve Spice
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Top of the morning! A cool, crisp Autumn morning felt perfect for the classic scent offered up by the Stirling Spice/B & M Reserve Spice. Love the Old Spice scent. My son has referred to it as “Old Man Smell”. What does he know as of yet?

Three passes has lead to the SOA from the missus. She looks forward to the weekends on many fronts and truly new joys want she calls, “The smoothness check.”

Hope you all have a great weekend.

  12. Outstanding shave Sandalwood scented shave Barry. Love the Floid Vigoroso, to bad is seems unobtainable. I have the Floid Genuine in the Southern den. I like the Vigoroso more.

  14. Thank you Joe... apparently the differences between the Floid Vigoroso & Genuine is the Vigoroso originally comes from Spain and is a more powerful version and lingers more than the Genuine. Also, the Genuine version is of Italian origin. Floid Genuine has a warm citrus powder fragrance , as the Floid Vigoroso is very much similar to the Floid Genuine but with more menthol with a slightly different fragrance. It does seem that they have discontinued the production of the Vigoroso, which a great shame..As always Joe, it'll be using cheaper bulk products to make a profit. Have a wonderful weekend. Yours-Barry.:happy088:

  15. Thanks John. You have a good mini-focus to start this month. Take care.
  16. Wonderful shave, setup and pic John. If you do grow out the stache, then good on you for supporting prostate cancer awareness.
  17. Thanks John. I have never had a bad shave with Cella. Now if only they made a Lavender version. Lol!
  18. Those are good options.

  19. Super Saturday shave and setup Barry. I hardly use the creams in the tub unless I am lazy building a bowl lather. I will say they do make nice lathers.
  20. Awesome shave Joe. I agree with your comment on your son's remark. What does his generation know about shaving stuff. One day he will thank you for showing him how to wetshave. Have a great day.
