SE SOTD, November 9th 2023

Razor : Gem 1912 baton handle. Mfg 1943 variant, well made and designed to last generations. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (6) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Gillette Pure cream, nice scented soap + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24 mm 3band badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
A bit of a lather hog with the large bloom.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Jr 1912 with baton handle with a Gem coated blade.

The Palmolive Shaving Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #71 synthetic brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Pal Injecto-Matic and Personna injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This setup is not for the faint hearted because it’s so bone chillingly COLD. The Absolute Zero soap and aftershave toner have a lovely aquatic scent with some minty notes, the soap is a vegan based treasure with awesome lather that has so much slickness, the menthol sensation is so powerful that it’s easily a match for any of the Stirling Glacials, and it’s so skin friendly. The matching aftershave toner is another menthol atom bomb with lots of moisturizing and soothing - my dear brother Abir put so much love into this stuff when he created it, and the Rubby Dubby Doo added another layer of icicles into my face. Last but not least the magnificent Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m ready to enjoy another relaxing day of retirement. Three passes gave me a most delightful BBS shave - yes, the 7 AM blade is still performing quite well!

Razor : Yaqi SE AC Excalibur 50mm with a Yaqi Milano 316 handle - Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system that gives a nice shave for a 2 years now. Had a great shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p30 50mm (6) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX, nice clean unique scent that works for myself + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky dice" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic fan knot. Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. 26mm synthetic brushes rock IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Razorock XXX splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DSF,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur SE with a Schick proline blade.
