    Stella!!!! I mean Cella!!!!!

Great shave Joe. I hope you had such a nice time at your brother’s party that you felt ambitious enough to walk down the block to rake up some of my leaves. Thank you in advance.

Excellent shave Barry. It's always nice to use brands from days gone by. Enjoy your afternoon.

Terrific Tabac shave Chris. I believe those are Russian blades and Gillette is closing their At. Petersburg plant and relocating to India so the quality of those blades may not be the same.

Lol! Thanks Joe. It was a co-celebration because it was also my grandnephew's birthday. It was a nice time.

    thanks Joe

    Thanks again Joe

Thanks Joe, I do like the Tabac. About the blades, I need to buy more to last me into my dotage, so I am trying out the less common ones I have to see if they are worth replacing.
Now, the question is to buy now or later Lol!

    Good morning.

    1968 Gillette Slim Adjustable (8)
Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (6,7)
    Hembree Delrin/ Maggard Timberwolf Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 24 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3 days

Did a head and face shave with my Slim Adjustable. I haven't used it since Sept. so it needed to play today. I have to be careful with this razor because one of the doors opens crooked so I have to make sure it's tight. Anyway, Angora's Lavender is such a nice smelling soap and it whips up a slick, creamy lather. Here is my lather:

2 passes on my face was all I needed because yesterday's shave was super close. 3 passes on the dome with touchups was the norm for me. BBS was the result all around and without errors. The alum was silent except a zing on my dome. Witch hazel and the matching aftershave were splashed on to end this wonderful shave. Take care.

Monday November 13 very early morning (330am here) - Neutrogena No Variant November

Prep: Hot face wash with Aleppo 20% laurel bay oil soap
Razor: Supply 2.0 injector with SE comb plate / vintage US-made Schick Plus Platinum (21)
Soap: Neutrogena Skin Clearing Shave Cream
    Brush: none
    Lather Bowl: none
Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Portland General Store Black Willowbark Toner
Last shave: early Sunday - 1 day (!!!!)

Once again, I stuck with the Cunning Plan(TM) to send the Neutrogena shave cream tube to join the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Slowly getting there. However, in a major departure from my usual practice, I actually shaved for two days in a row. Not only that, I did two passes! The first WTG everywhere, and the second XTG on my face and ATG on my neck. The result feels very near BBS.

Alum was a bit warm in places but no hot spots and no blood or razorburn anywhere either.

I doubled down on the "skinclearing" aspect of my routine with a healthy splash over my entire face and upper torso of the PGS toner full of naturally occurring salicylic acid. I am ready for the day now, being clean, cleanshaven, refreshed and smelling wonderfully of musty bark... A great scent was most definitely not one of the selling points for this toner (irrelevant now as PGS closed shop in IIRC the early days of the pandemic).

Hope everyone has a good week.

One of the great classic DE razors! I love lavender soaps too. Sounds like a wonderful shave all around.
