Another really great AM shave! Hope you all are enjoying a warm Friday morning.

    Rating: 5 / 5

Prep- Hot shower with Stirling Executive Man bar soap
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable- Set to 4 on first pass and 5 on second
Blade- Feather Hi Stainless. Second shave on new blade
    Two Pass Shave
    Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar
    Lather: Pinuad Clubman Shave Soap
    Aftershave: Pinuad Classic Vanilla
Two Pass Shave- 1 with and 1 across grain

I did a simple shave this morning to let the blades' performance really come through. I dialed the Slim Adjustable up to 4 and then 5 with no issues, and was rewarded with another DFS bordering on BBS shave. I could not be happier with the Feather blades so far!

I went all Pinuad today, and had never used the Clubman Shave Soap before. I don't normally like "perfumey" soaps touching my face, but the Clubman scent was mild and actually pleasant. The soap itself was fantastic. Really slick and smooth. Was in a bit of a rush this morning, but will take a lather pic the next time I use this soap.

My next shave will be Sunday, and I will primarily be focusing on two things:

1- Two passes on 5 with the slim, which has been my normal routine
2- Will I get three good shaves out of the blade?

Next week I will be rotating the Feathers though a few different razors to see how that works...

    Have a great day everyone!
    Scott

Fabulous Friday shave Chris. The Stirling Black Cherry has always intrigued me, but I don’t know if I want to smell like a cough drop.

The Stirling Black Cherry is "wonderful", and smells nothing like cough drops. I had a sample puck come in and ordered the full size after one test shave. It's actually arriving tomorrow. PM me if you want my test puck. It's pressed into a recently empty Cella tub and was only used once...

    SRS # 997 - Fougere Friday Shave - Brocha

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: C-Mon Special 6/8”
Brush: CRD Patriotic Swirl 26 mm Synthetic
Lather: Old Cahaba Shave Club Brocha
Aftershave: Los Jabones de Joserra Brocha
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Busy early morning, prior to my meet up with Joe, @Trigger, for breakfast, with the laundry in the machine, the X3 Bar Push workout and a wonderful Fougere shave.

The C-Mon straight is a wonderful razor which consistently delivers a close and comfortable shave. The CRD synthetic whipped up a nice lather sufficient for a three pass plus one post shave application.

I am looking and smelling good this morning. Hope you all have a great last day of the work week.

Thanks Joe, my nose is not the best (unlike my wife's!) but to me the Stirling soaps I have used so far all have around the same base note if that is the right word.
They all perform well. The Black Cherry does not have much of a scent, more of a "Sterling" scent to my nose anyway.

Came back today with the Bill Neumann SS&AS combination(Heartwood). I had the Razorock 400 Plissoft brush. Once again I misssed a bit on NW Porcupine Alley. Other than that, all went well. Wouldn't that look funny-a mustache on ONE side, but not the other? :).

I appreciate that Scott and I thank you. I have enough soaps in my den. Lol! Everytime I try to go below a certain amount, my soap inventory increases.

Great shave and it was always a nice time when we meet. It's funny, but I have my setup for this afternoon's shave laid out last night and it is my C-Mon that got the call. Great minds think alike.

@Hembree Danny, @brit Gary I recently called Jeff Greene during my meetup with Joe C. I called to see how he was doing and to wish him a Happy Thanksgiving. Anyway, he said he had some health issues and it was very unlikely that he would ever be back here. It's a shame because he was a good guy and was an enthusiastic straight razor shaver. @jgreenepa His posts always had some historical reference with any of his razors, etc. Jeff, you will be missed and wish you the best. Take care my friend.

Haha! I hear you, and am trying to keep things a bit more under control this time around. At least I know what I don't like now.

I do get to LI from time to time and may take you up on the breakfast offer!

    Good afternoon.

    Straight Razor Shave # 507
    C-Mon
    Barbury Synthetic Brush
Pedro Fiasco's Limoncello SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 24.5 hrs.

Like I mentioned earlier, I picked out this C-Mon for today's shave. I have two of these razors, but the other is less wider than this one. Both are definitely wicked sharp. Pedro Fiasco is the budget friendly product that is made by Arianna and Evans. Pete, decided to make a brand that was more financially accessible to wetshavers. Although this is my only soap for this brand, I like it. It takes on a lot of water to get that creamy goodness, but it is slick. I also like the scent, too!
    Here's my lather:

I only needed 2 passes without pickups for a BBS shave. I went WTG and ATG. There wasn't any leakage of blood. Surprised because I opened my weep yesterday.
The alum was silent. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave and I am good to go. Take care.
