    Well, as for Bill Neumann, I do list the particular kind I use. It is true that I don't list all the healthy ingredients, but I know I've described BN as a "skin-food" product. Ans as for all else, those are listed too(that is, I list my brush name as well as that of the soap).

    Well, that's another thing-very rarely am I verbally complimented by ladies I come across. Might be different if I HAD a lady, but as it is, they just look and go on. Course there could be a lot IN their look, but I'd like to be let in on it.

    I agree. I haven't used my G E ShakeSharp in months. He gifted it to me. I will use it sometime soon.

    I think you many have misunderstood. I am not interested in the specific ingredients but rather the name of said product and the possible scent. At the least the name of the product so that if I choose to I can go to an artisan’s website to investigate further.

    As far as the hardware in your den for a given shave you do not mention the type of razor although I suspect it may be a cartridge razor as if it was any other the amount of Polka dots, Knicks and cuts would be exponentially higher.

    Again, my purpose on this thread, and thus my request to you, is to learn as well as share knowledge on this thread. I think you can agree that you have a lot to offer unless you do not have the patience, your words earlier, to do so.

    Good afternoon

    Schick I- 1 Injector
    Personna Injector Blade (6,7)
    Stirling Boar Brush
    Cella SS
    Gentlemen's Nod Zaharoff Signature Series AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 1 day
    Done Turf: 3 days

    20231117_232039.jpg

    It was time for another dual shave so I chose the Cella and my milder Schick I-1 Injector Razor. I like Cella because it's super slick and easy to lather. Here's my lather:
    20231118_162655.jpg

    Did a 2.5 pass face shave and a 3 pass headshave for error-free BBS results. My alum feedback was quite negligible all around. As an aside,, I will say that if you can get a decent I-1 Schick Injector, please do so. It's much more milder than my E-3 and it is still quite efficient. I find it more forgiving as well.
    I splashed on the witch hazel and the Gentlemen's Nod Zaharoff Signature Series aftershave. I just want to make a point regarding GN Zaharoff Signature Series soap and aftershave. I used up the soap awhile ago and wasn't impressed with it. The scent was very faint and it took a lot of muscle to get the soap to lather and it was quite thin. At the time, I wanted a thick lather, but now I prefer thin lathers and wouldn't have an issue with this soap, except the price which was 28 dollars for 4 oz. I bought into the hype and regretted it. This matching aftershave also was not strong enough for me and it was just as expensive as the soap. I rarely use this aftershave, but I will use it with soaps that have lost their scents. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this set. Take care.

    Lol! you could always give it a go for a month or so Paul, it would add a new twist to Movember. Of course, Pics would be obligatory!

    Thanks Joe. Me neither. I tried that once, way too messy. The Ever-Ready brush worked fine. But, what I DO do for touch ups is to use the left hand to add more lather and/or water to the tricky areas, and use that to stretch the skin and follow that with the razor

    By the way...
    The Wet side of my sink is the Left side: water, brush, bowl, lather etc
    The Dry side of the sink is the Right side: Paper towel to rest the razor on, normal towel for drying hands in between passes as needed etc

    Thanks Scott, I have a few left and will get through them eventually, one use each blade. Not one to waste things. Sharks are not on my re-purchase list as you might have guessed

    19 Nov 2023 ( No Repeat November )

    24 hours : Face and back of neck shave

    19 Nov 2023.jpg

    Prep = Cold water soak 3 x 30 secs, Tabac-in-a-tube as preshave
    Soap= Cella. This time I used only 1/2 scoop into the bowl, 4-5 cc of RO water added slowly. Still plenty of lather
    Brush = The Vulfix Old Original 20 mm
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Rocket HD
    Blade = Gillette Platinum (1) (aaahh, that’s more like it!)
    Post = CWR, alum, CWR, Thayers. 3 splashes of Sterling Bay Rum ASL straight on to the face and neck
    Damage = none

    Score = 9.5 / 10

    Comments = DFS for the most part, BBS sides of cheeks and sideburns areas. Some remaining stubble in my Nemesis Zone 8, the swirly bits to the right of the Adam’s Apple. One day perhaps I will get the hang of that area. This Gillette combination is way better than yesterday’s set up

    Have a great Sunday one and all
