    I have been trying to think if there are any vintage model Gillette DE razors that have reputations for being consistently poor shavers -- and I can't think of any. The old-time Gillette razor designer/engineers certainly knew their stuff!

    Excellent shave Scott. I tend to stick with the Stirling Unscented balm for all my shaves in the Northern Den. You can always use a scented balm and add a drop of two of the aftershave then apply. I follow that up after about a minute or two, to allow for absorption, with the aftershave.

    Wonderful shave with the Dovo Shavette. I had tried a couple sample of the Captain’s Choice, Bsy Rum and Sandalwood. Both were very nice.

    Thank you Chris. The brush was custom made for me by a fellow 30DC member, Jason - @jtspartan. It exhibits fine craftsmanship and is very easy to hold and manipulate to get a great lather.

    Thanks Joe. Captain's Choice is an excellent soap. When I was at Pasteur's, I intended to get 45th Parallel because it has a cherry scent. Of course, I got the Seaforth Sea Spice Lime and Pedro Fiasco's Limoncello instead.

    Today's shave was NOT good. Wasn't BAD either, but could have been much better. Nice work on the cheeks&sideburns, as well as N. Porcupine Alley. . The positives end there though. 4 Knicks at South Porcupine(chin)and a cut down at Cactus Nation. Most of Cactus went well, the cut ruined THAT. The Paul Sebastian A.S. provided for a strong scent though.Remember what I said yesterday about being thrown off stride? The cut prevented me from focusing in the area near the Ingrown Swamp. Fairly Oustanding.
