    Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.

    Greetings,

    An excellent shave to finish my shaving month off wonderfully...Throughout the month the Lord Silver Star super stainless blade have been superb, becoming a firm favourite again after the long hiatus from not adding them to my regular DE blade rotation.

    It's been a while since I last used the Omega shaving cream and forgot how much easy it is to create a slick protective lather, with a good kick from the Eucalyptus oil to give my ageing face sensors a vibrant winter morning wakeup call!

    A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave to finish the month off wonderfully.

    Finishing the shave off with a generous squirts of P&G Old Spice Bearglove A/S Spray.

    My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

  6. 30 Nov 2023 (No Repeat November)

    48 hours

    30 Nov 2023.jpg

    Prep = HOT Water Prep 3x 30 second soaks
    Preshave = Tabac in a tube as Pre shave. The goal is to finish this by the end of the year
    Cream = TOBS Tobacco Leaf
    Brush = The Vulfix Old Original 20 mm
    Bowl = Cheap deep white plastic bowl
    Razor = Gillette Red Tip B4 replated
    Blade = Feather (2)
    Passes = 3 +
    Post = CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers. Liberal lashings of Sterling Bay Rum
    Scent = Guerlain pour homme
    Damage = none

    Score = 9.8 / 10 Successful pleasant shave, super smooth all over. The tobacco, Bay Rum and Guerlain combine really well

    Comments = Hmm, I like my cold water shaves because they reduce the blood flow to the face, so if there is a nick there is less of the red stuff. Also the theory is there is less facial swelling making for a smoother shave. I will have to investigate this further. But today in the spirit of No Repeat November I switched out and used hot water. This probably contributed to softening of the beard and the great result, so I may want to revisit this going forward. Anyway I continued to use cold water between passes and for the clean up. Feather was still great on day 2, esp combined with the well hydrated and superb TOBS Tobacco Leaf. Almost makes we want to try cigars again (no thanks). Lovely stuff. If I was only allowed one brand of soap/croap then TOBS would definitely be on the short list. 8 hours later I can still smell the Tobacco Leaf!

    Have a great Thursday one and all

  16. Since you been on this thread, I will say that is your best shave thus far, Chris. I am a cold water shaver all year round. Personally, I find it helps prevent irritation and it's quite refreshing.
