Another 24 hour shave



Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Tabac in a tube as Pre shave
Soap / Cream = Saponificio Varesino Felice aromatica Beta 4.3
Brush = Razorock Plissoft 400 synthetic
Bowl = Timeless
Razor = Single ring Gillette 102 1912
Blade = Feather, 2nd Day
Passes = 2 ++
Post = CWR, Alum was fine. CWR. Thayers.
ASL = Old Spice
Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
Damage = none

Score = 9+ /10

Comments =
Less soap scooped into the bowl, bloomed, using up all the soap in the bowl this time. This is a great product but the scent is subtle. A stronger scent would make it better. I did think of skipping the ASL and EdP but couldn’t resist. SHMO approved of the Old Spice/Guerlain combination. Another fine shave notched up by the Gillette and Feather. This combo definitely helps to refine the technique. Today I tried ATG on the top lip which was safe as houses, but for some reason, loss of focus perhaps, I skipped the left side corner. Came back and cleaned this up afterwards. My Nemesis Zone 8 was better than ever. Just the area next to the Adam’s apple that remains to be conquered......

I know I've smelled Denim in the distant past. For the life of me I can't remember the scent...

 

To my nose it's a spicy citrus masculine old school scent,but not in your face.

Fantastic Kami shave this morning prior to my breakfast meet up with Joe, @Trigger. I decided to go with another one of my stellar Declaration Grooming software, After the Rain.
The scent profile is as follows: “After the Rain is like a walk through a forest after a spring shower with notes of wet pine, muted lavender, cedar, and white pepper.”

The three pass shave with the Kami was outstanding. A super smooth shave without any irritation or crimson. The razor is a classic piece of art and craftsmanship.

I can not neglect my straights. I just enjoy the challenge and the process. I have alway been drawn to them even as a kid watching my grandfather.
