Awesome looking shave and lather. WOW the GSB drops to third. IMHO, I would rate the GSB over the Feather. While the Feather is extremely sharp, it does not have the longevity of the GSB. Given their price point, the Feather, their performance drops in grade for my $. I get phenomenally close shaves with the GSB that the difference in closeness between the two would be barely noticeable.

The OCSC Brocha is now down to its final shave tomorrow. Looking back at my records, tomorrow’s shave will be the 47th with this soap.

The R41 easily glided along the slick Brocha lather to deliver a superb shave. Once again I was rewarded with an error free shave. Yes, I did my usual three passes. Did I need to? No., but it is part of my enjoyment so why cheapen the process.

The R41 is on my short list of next razors to get for those rare days when I can take my time.

 

Third is still pretty good for my face. My beard is really hard to cut, so I get tugging with anything but the sharpest/thinnest blades. I love the GSB's as well, but they live right at the edge of what works for me. I need three passes with a GSB to get where two Feather passes gets me, and that third pass starts to bother my skin if I don't do it "very" slowly and carefully. I got a really nice third shave out of the Kai today. Better then than shave 3 would be with a GSB

If the 4th Kai shave is really good one, then it will be longer lived than any other blade for me. I get two really good and one borderline shave out of the other two...

Having said that, I would be "shocked" if the GSB drops lower than 3...

 

Progressing with your technique nicely Chris. Very nice shave.
