I needed a headshave and a face shave and picked my R102 for the task. I did my headshave in the morning before heading out to the gym. Afterwards, I had a light lunch and came home. I waited until the 24 hr mark passed before I started my faceshave. It's been a long time since I have done two non-continuous shaves sessions in one day. Anyway, it all worked out well.

This is the first time using Barbus. I like the scent because it's different from anything that I have tried and it does provide a slick lather. The only negative is that it doesn't provide a thicker lather than the artisan soaps, but I expected that to be the case. My initial experience with Barbus was the headshave. I didn't add enough cream so the lather was quite thin, so I added more cream and it was fine. I attribute this misjudgement of use due to my unfamiliarity of this product. Anyway, 3 passes on a fresh blade gave me a cueball smooth shave, but did get a weep on the back of my head. It disappeared with the alum.
The faceshave was great. Three passes gave me a BBS result without any errors

The alum feedback was not too bad on the dome, but it got real on my neck and cheek. I survived. Lol! Witch hazel and the Stirling Glastonbury were applied and I felt the burn. I am quite satisfied with the results.
