Friday, December 15 I Coloniali~~Simpson M7~~Gillette New LC/Sharp Star~~Sospiro Classica EdP The soap insisted upon spinning around in the Aesop bowl... Not gonna like dealing with that every shave. Regardless, or as they say in the vernacular...irregardless, the M7 and my nimble hand worked in tandem to produce a luscious lather. The Sharp Star was exceedingly smooth and still sharp. The Classica is a new stank with oodles of Oud. Real Oud, I might add.
Day 33&34 December 15/16 Travel Shaves Canadian Prewar Tech w 7 O’clock Green Simpson Sovereign/ Resin Mike’s Orange, Cedar & Pepper Thayers Terre d’Hermes (today) Maol Frankinlime (tomorrow) Out of town for a few days. The soap will survive the trip. The humble Tech delivered a very smooth shave with a sharp St Pete’s blade and a slick Mike’s lather. Have a great night all!
Fantastic travel set up. Safe travels, Jason! My Bride and I just returned from a visit with friends in San Francisco. My travel setup included a Trac II (4 shaves on a cartridge), a Tabac shave stick (hand lather, no brush), and whatever hand cream I could find for post-shave. The shaves were actually pretty good. I'm back at my Mike's 3017 now, with a long way to go. (And, yes, I took my Gurley, AL Piggly Wiggly t-shirt with me on the trip. I like to live large whenever possible.)
Sounds like a great travel set up, Charlie. The hardware in the pic is my standard travel kit. The brush and razor live in the dopp bag. A Palmolive stick is usually the soap of choice, but not for the 3017. When flying, I like Trac lls as well, with a Schick handle.
Saturday, December 16 I Coloniali~~Vie-Long Beehive~~Feather AC/Schick Proline~~Tom Ford Oud Wood Transferred the soap back into the terra cotta container, as it was unhappy in the Aesop SS bowl. The Vie-Long never disappoints. Fresh Proline was smooth and sharp. Stabbed myself in the left jaw... Mos def® drew blood. Finished with a beautiful stank from TF.

The Tabac challenges continues, I think it will last until February. I hadn't used my Rocnel-G in a long time, I do like this razor. It has been a disturbing busy run to the end here. It also included a quick business trip to Tokyo, two days and one night. The dinner was fantastic but can't really recall how many bottles of Saki we had that night. You know building relationships before business. The view from the hotel was fantasitc despite the pounding headache. And the clearest view I have ever enjoyed of Mt Fuji, taken from the airport. This weekend in Seoul is cold.... brrrr
I would have to purchase a fish-eye lens for a camera I do not own. Let me mull this request over...gotta make sure Dr. Mrs. Primo is away for a while---a long while.
