    Thanks Joe. As you know, shaves likes this one are just wonderful to encounter.

    Great looking Cella shave Joe. I used up the last of my Cella just before I started testing again. I need to remedy that.

    Thanks Scott. If I order Cella again, then I will make sure that I will not introduce water into the tub, otherwise, I will repeat the no scent scenario.

    Jet lag be damned! I needed to catch up. I shaved my scalp and neck once during my 12 day trip abroad. We were having too much fun to slow down and shave! So many memories from a wonderful trip and amazing sites in Vienna.

    Prep: a bit of sleep and a hot shower with face and scalp wash
    Lather: Arko
    Brush: RR Plissoft
    Razor: ATT Windsor
    Blade: Rapira (1)
    Post: Cool rinse and CC Bay Rum

    My neck was easy, 2 simple passes and acceptable. The scalp, on the other hand, took a bit of work. 7 or 8 days of stubble was difficult to mow down and took 3 solid passes to get to a result that will last until the weekend. Probably should have started with the electric clippers first, but didn't and learned a lesson.

    My sleep is all messed up now, but I expect I'll get it sorted out through the weekend and be ready to go soon. 2 days of school and then break!

    Excellent shaves Troy. I have never let my dome turf go more than 4 days. If I stretched it out to seven to eight days, then I would use my Dovo shavette to mow it. Glad you had a wonderful trip.

    Abandoned yesterday’s plan and tossed the Merkur blade: was not looking forward to using it again, why bother?

    Prep = Cold Water Prep and Tabac as pre shave, looks like this will last longer than I thought
    Soap / Cream = Stirling Black Cherry sample, still going strong
    Brush = Omega 10049 white, bristle
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Flare Tip
    Blade = Gillette Minora (1)
    Passes = 3 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum was a bit nasty around the left side of the adam’s apple and the back of the neck, CWR, Thayers, dabbed dry, Proraso Rinfrescante
    Scent = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver cologne, my favourite by far, it lasts long into the day, memories of forests and campfires
    Damage = none

    Score = 9+ /10
    Comments = Trying to make a dent in my smaller selection of lesser blades. Still a good blade but not a Feather. I might be imagining it but when I use the Feather then towards the end of the day the stubble feels sharper than when I use a less sharp blade. Maybe the Feather leaves a sharper edge to the stubble which is more noticeable to the touch at the end of the day?

    Have some great mid week shaves ladies and gents

    Closed out the Bay Rum combo this morning, for now. . It was a nice shave above the jawline, but not so below. 2 cuts developed near the Ingrown Hair area, right side of Cactus Nation(neck). They are under control now-but it was a scary scene for a while. I was probably going too hard around Ingrown Hair area to see if I could reduce the Ingrowns. Didn't work. A different approach around there is the requirement now. I'm just glad there is no more redness. The Gabels helped(A.S.). This one gets a Pretty Outstanding.

    Excellent shave and setup Chris. I have heard good things about Minora blades. I am guessing they are somewhere between a Derby and Feather in sharpness.

    The razor you use is what causes the ingrown hairs, Paul.

    I agree. He has been told this numerous times over the 5 yrs that I have been on this thread. He was piffed a safety razor to assist him in alleviating his ingrown hair problem. However, he conveniently lost that razor. He doesn't take advice from anyone on this thread and then he wonders why he still cuts himself every time he shaves. He's on my ignored status because I don't want to read his posts because it's the same story with him. I have asked him to stop using those cute phrases like Cactus Nation, etc. and that if a newbie read it, then they would not understand his posts. This is a learning thread and he doesn't bring anything to the table. He doesn't encourage anyone on their shaves or rarely comments on another members posts.. He has blocked me from having a private convo with him so that I can discuss ways to help him. Obviously, this showed me that he doesn't want my input or for that matter anyone else's. I don't want to exclude anyone from this thread, but I feel this thread does not serve him well and that he's better served posting to SOSD.
