Well, I made a small "dent" in the Mama Bear Beau Brummel. Good way to close it out until next time. I went much softer in the delicate areas than usual. A note from a gentleman in here steered me towards doing that. Thank you, gentleman(Aaaaahh. you know who you are, thus no need for an introduction). Nice shave all around. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-Dots. Finished with Puros A.S.(Razorock). I wonder how Puros compares to Tabac. Anyway, As Outstanding As It Gets.

Thank you Gary-the reason I thought about a Puros-Tabac comparison came from that guy reviewing Stoylin Gentleman, saying he thinks there's more tobacco in Gentleman than in "Tabac" itself.

Yes they are. It's another reason why I like Stirling. Many artisan soapmakers don't provide samples so that you're not put a lot of money if you don’t like the soap. I scratch my head as to why most other artisans follow suit.

I decided to pick out another mild razor for today's head and face shave. The Van der Hagen Razor got the nod. I haven't used a Lavender scented soap in awhile, so I picked the Angora Midnight Lavender. It's a wonderful scent and gives a nice, slick lather. Here's my lather:



I only needed 2 passes on my face, but did my usual 3 passes on my dome for an error-free BBS result all around. Didn't get any alum feedback. Finished this fine session with the witch hazel and matching aftershave. Take care.

This was my third shave with the Dovo shavette , second with the Persona Hair Shaper blade. The razor is probably one of the lightest razor I have ever used. Nonetheless, it was easy to manipulate around the face and neck without any issues. Three passes, as my norm, to super smoothness.
