    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Tim’s Soap Busta’s Blend
    Aftershave: Pinuad Citrus Musk
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Balm

    This is the first shave this year with Tim’s Soap. This artisan’s products are not longer in produce which is a shame. The lather produced is slick and voluminous. It has a citrus scent which pairs well with the Pinaud Citrus Musk. I believe I will designated this soap for the 1508.5 Project (every other shave) at the start of 2024.

    The Gillette British Slim is a fine razor. Prior to purchasing this razor I conferred with Gary, @brit, regarding the price and the quality of this razor. It delivered an acceptable shave. Paired with the Tim’s Soap I easily could have been satisfied with one pass to be social acceptable. Of course one pass will never suffice.

    Quick, down and dirty report today. Loaded up again this weekend.


    I moved on to the Suneko blades that I ordered from AliExpress and had a very nice shave with them.

    Is this the best really cheap blade I have ever tried? Yes….

    Is this the overall best blade I have ever tried?…… No

    Not quite as sharp or smooth as a Kai or Lab Blue

    Maybe slightly sharper but not quite as smooth as a GSB.

    This blade would be a good option for those who like sharper Japanese blades and are willing to somewhat compromise in order to pay 1/3rd the price. Another good fit would be those who like GSB blades, which are right on the edge of just sharp enough for me. I will shave a second time with the Suneko and see how it performs…
