I haven't used my Max Sprecher Razor in over a month so I had to bring it out for today's shave. Did 3 passes for a smooth and comfortable shave without any incidents. The alum feedback was negligible. Finished the shave in my usual manner and happy with the result. I am going to have a no shave day tomorrow because I want to shave Christmas morning with a decent amount of stubble. Take care.

"Christmas Eve Shave"

One more day before the big fella with the white beard, delivers my Christmas shaving goodies in my stocking.....'The Christmas period always brings the kid out in me with bittersweet memories, and to be truthfully honest I don't do Christmas anymore. I know for some people it's full of joy and plenty, especially for children, yet for some it's not so nice..

However, as they say in my neck of the woods 'I'll put a face on' for the festive season so I don't spoil it for the people who still enjoy it, and most importantly for those who still think Santa Claus is the real deal, which is something that should never be spoilt as for a child it's the most magical best feeling in the world. I remember it well...

A wonderful Christmas eve shave with some of my favourite old, and infrequently used wet shaving assortments.

Tomorrow I'll be venturing out to the family gathering to prepare the Christmas dinner, 'My multi tasking-skills' come in useful at certain times' and take part in the festive activities, then later in the evening I'll be catching up on some relaxation and well earned rest.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Cherry flavoured shave, getting in the mood for Xmas, besides they did need testing before the big day, right?

Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Tabac in a tube as Pre shave
Soap = Black Cherry Stirling sample loaded heavily from the tub
Brush = Semogue Owners Club Cherry
Bowl = Timeless
Razor = Gillette Aristocrat
Blade = Gillette Minora (1)
Passes = 3 + were needed
Post = Usual and Proraso Sandalwood and Shea ASL
Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
Damage = none

Score = 9.8 / 10 super smooth, mainly due to starting with ATG both ways and learning to hit the neck area with ATG in shorter strokes

Comments = Mild ASL and scent for our Xmas Eve service this afternoon
Another fantastic Gillette shave, good feedback from the blade, no hint of the red stuff, didn't even need ATG around the mouth to achieve another DFS with some BBS. Good enough for me

For Xmas Eve day, I brought out my Gillette Series Gel. I forgot how chilly it is, but since they say it helps fight skin irritation, I think I can manage it all right in these winter mojths. In fact, I scored 3 goose-eggs in the cuts, Knicks, Polka-dot persuasions. Clean and clear all around. I left a little too much astroturf around North Cactus(next to the Ingrowns). I put on a good amount of the Stephan Bay Rum aftershave. I've added the Stephan BR to my list of "I don't want to be without this". Super Duper Outstanding,
