This weeks theme was Simpson brushes. My first nice brush was a Simpson Duke 3, still in the den and make the picture. The steel back to front, Brian Brown 7/8, Osiris 8/8, 2011 R41 and a Koraat 7/8. I am embarrassed, in the same @Primotenore used vintage Koros I used the meek modern Koros. I have a bottle of the vintage so I have no choice now but to break the vintage stank. My vintage Koroos is a splash not a spray and little Koros goes a long way.
I have a full, vintage spray bottle of this great juice as well. It should be noted, that Dr. Mrs. Primo LIKES Kouros.
December 23, 2023 Brass General Feather Pro DK7 WSP Ol’Kentucky Small Batch Shave Tonic Happy Saturday Everyone. We are hosting my family Christmas luncheon today. I decided to order a big BBQ spread rather than cook. Along with the adult beverages on ice I am pretty sure lunch will be fantastic. Take care and have a great day.
Paul, thanks for asking. Maya has had 2 hip surgeries on her left hip. Every year or so she needs to get a steroid injection into her hip for pain relief. At some point she will need another hip surgery but she's trying to prolong that as long as possible.
December 24, 2023 Tatara Muramasa Tatra Tatara Semogue Boar WSP Ol’Kentucky Small Batch Shave Tonic We are all moving a little slow this morning since we have a late lunch reservation for my Birthday Lunch. Plus it is nice to have everyone together. After a month of using a lot of SE razors I decided to mix things up and go with the Tatara Adjustable razor. This razor just flat works for me. Take care and have a great day everyone.
December 24 My Mike's 3017 continues, and the shaves have been wonderful. Still a long way to go, but at least the puck doesn't look gnarly. I'm on the verge of 3017ing my stash of Astra SP blades and well into my last bottle of Fine L'Orange Noir aftershave splash. A huge shout out to @Primotenore for his kindness and generosity. He sent me an Aesop bowl, and I love its simple/unbreakable SS design, the way it feels in my hand, and its superb function as a soap dish/lather bowl. It will be a staple in my den. Kathy and I have gotten to know Joseph and Dr. Mrs. Primo over the past year. They have become dear friends, and we are blessed to know them. I can also attest that Joseph is a gifted chef. And it goes without saying that Dr. Mrs. Primo is a very, very, very patient and olfactory-fatigued Bride. Thank you, my friend. @Keithmax I decided to welcome Aesop into the den with the fabled red carpet per established best practices. I'm thankful to be part of this wonderful group. Kathy and I count you all as friends. Merry Christmas, everyone!
Happy Birthday, Clint, and Merry Christmas! I hope you, Swati, and your sweeties have a great time together. Oh yeah, even though it is your birthday....you're buying lunch for everyone.
