  1. Mild is a good word, but foolproof is better. I threw a Feather right into it, and could carelessly tool around my face like it was a Derby. The blade is bent down more than any razor I've tried, and the shave bevel is perfectly flat with the blade parallel to it. It's very intuitive to keep the flat part against your face, and if you change the angle it just lifts the blade off your skin. If there is a way to cut or irritate yourself with this razor, I can't figure it out...

Again, probably not for someone who does not shave regularly since it does not seem suited for heavy, multi day whiskers. I can also get a "slightly" closer BBS shave in two passes using the Feather in a more aggressive razor, but it's very much splitting hairs. It's marketed to new shavers, but is the perfect tool for quick, easy close shaves when you are pressed for time, or wanting to shave every day with a sensitive face.

These are both situations I find myself in often...

  3. Great looking shaves everyone!

Holidays are over and both of my kids' insane sports and activity schedules are kicking in again. As mentioned in my first post, I will be shaving every day for (hopefully) a week or two, but probably reporting every other day do time constraints. Did another quick shave with the Henson this morning. so I'm already up to four consecutive shave days with no issues whatsoever.

It's about to start getting colder up here so we will see how it goes. It's the cold, dry wind that's going to sink this experiment, if anything does...

  8. Excellent shave and setup Chris! I had oatmeal mixed with peanut butter and maple syrup for breakfast. I am assuming gruel is the same thing.
