Cool Joe. I also thought this morning, I am getting way too much lather, might want to reduce the 60 CW and 60 CCW loading system with the Sterling, but better to have more than less.

Hmm, grading systems, everyone has their own, don't know if there is a standard, but anyway A+ is probably good enough, right?

Nice arrivals Joe, looks like there could be a Suneko club starting up soon!

Thanks Chris. If I was using a synthetic, then the amount of soap to lather would have been fine, but I forgot that I needed more when using a badger.

Terrific shave Scott. I just smile when I get quality shaves with my budget razors.

Always an interesting read Barry, I am beginning to realise you have quite a shaving arsenal you are holding in reserve. Fun.

Thank you Joe, it's no problem, I can just add more Bay Rum ASL to top it up, depending on the activities of the day ahead.

Thank Joe, I have some Sterling Bar Soap I haven't tried yet, pretty sure it will be really good. Different scent to my shaving soaps, just another way to experiment with scents.
Scents are interesting and subjective, not only for different individuals but also day to day. With this morning's shave I felt the Bay Rum had more of a chalky type of scent as an undertone in there somewhere. Not that I have a cultured sense of smell, just an interesting observation.

    Thank you Gary

Thanks Scott. With an active family, work and such, it is quite understandable.

Thank you Chris...It's always a good thing to have a contingency back up with anything, especially with traditional wet shaving.

Both Classic looking razors, Gary. Am I mistaken or do the handles look to have different lengths?

Yep, point taken of course, I was just thinking in general that maybe I could less soap in the interest of economy, but then on a cost per shave basis there is not much in it from a dollars and cents point of view. Anyway, I think like most others here I have enough soaps to keep me going for a while.

    DE Shave # 508

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Yaqi Adjustable - The Final Cut
Blade: Suneko Amorphous Diamond SS (1)
Brush: Jayaruh 382 “Civil War” Boar
Pre-Shave: Pears Soap - Mint Extract
    Lather: Proraso White
Aftershave: Declaration Grooming Massacre of the Innocents
    Additional Care:
    Maggards Alum
    Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
This morning’s shave featured the newly acquired Yaqi Adjustable and the Suneko ADSS (Amorphous Diamond Stainless Steel) blade.

The Jayaruh boar brush whipped up a nice Proraso lather sufficient enough for three passes and one post shave application.

    Thoughts on the two acquisitions:
Razor: The razor is solidly made with some nice heft to it, weighing in a 82 grams. He color scheme is wi toned with Gun Metal on the center section of the handle and the rest of the razor in chrome.

Blade: The blade delivered an exceptionally close shave. It is extremely sharp. That being said, I really did not notice difference between the Suneko and the Gillette Silver Blues that I have in the Southern den. I will do a comparison with a new GSB and the Yaqi Adjustable on Wednesday. Tomorrow is a straight razor day.

I finished off this shave with another newly acquired product in the Southern Den. I had ordered two aftershaves from Declaration Grooming, Massacre of the Innocents and Revenant.

The scent profile of Massacre of the Innocents is as follows: “Top notes: cinnamon and pepper wood. Heart: osmanthus, tobacco leaf, labdanum and incense. Base: vanilla, cedar, vetiver, patchouli, iso e super, cypriol and musk.”

This aftershave provides a nice scent to finish this shave off.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

    Dscosmetic X2 with Destroyer handle.
    Astra SP blade.
    Delrin handle 24mm synthetic brush.
    Soap Commander Fortitude shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger cologne.

Awesome three pass shave this morning.

The Dscosmetic X2 does an excellent job. What I find interesting is the cap and base plate will interchange with Razorock Gamechanger base plates and caps.

    Happy Monday everyone!

thank you Chris.yes one is slightly longer.but it could be how the tto mechanism was clocked/during assembly.the gap between knob and handle is slightly larger on the monobloc(right).:):eatdrink047:
