Prep: Warm shower:/Imperial Leather Lavender & Wild Iris Body Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega S10065.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Gillette Sensitive Shave foam.
Blade: Super Shave X Platinum. (D2)
Razor: Jagen David B30.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Denim Original ASL./Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

Early morning shave,

It's been a while since I last used the Gillette Sensitive foam which provided me with an acceptable lather in a very short space of time.

The post shave was very acceptable with no dryness or irritation to my skin. I'll be honest, I didn't expect a canned shave foam to give such good results. Mixing the foam in the bowl with the synthetic brush and additional water was the key to it's performance, without it the shave foam doesn't have adequate slickness & glide.

The Jagen David B30 is another super-speed clone razor. It's Smooth manoeuvrable , and surprisingly efficient paired together with the Super Shave X Platinum on it's second use feeling very smooth & efficient. Another great razor & blade duo.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.

Prep = Hot water face prep
Cream = Tabac cream
Brush = Every Ready 200
Razor = R89
Blade = Shark super stainless (1)
Passes = 3 + were needed, mainly because this combo is so mild
Technique = WTG, XTG both ways, then ATG sideburns, upper lower lip, zone 8
Post = Usual, Tabac ASL and Lotion
Scent = Guerlain pour homme
Damage = none, almost impossible to do any damage with this combo. Blade nice and smooth, safe to apply as much pressure as needed

Score = 9 +
Comments = Smooth safe shave. I could have used more of the cream, I used about the same amount as when I use it as a preshave. Getting thin towards the end of the shave. Can certainly be more liberal with this next time

I guess very similar the Henson, it would be hard to do any damage with this combination
It would be great for someone / anyone trying to convert to DE shaving at any stage of their wet shaving career

Next I will try the Kai in the R89 and see how that goes

My jawline was the "center of attention" for my shave this morning. Why do I say that. All points North of the jawline turned out to be fine, whereas. all points South can use some im,provement for tomorrow. I'm not saying I MISSED everywhere down South; just that I could have done better. One pass. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-Dots. I'm especially glad I was able to "attack" the ingrown hairs along both cheeks, and do solid sideburn work. Porcupine Alley looks fine. This shave gets a Most Outstanding commentary. Hope to do better at Cactus Nation tomorrow.

 

Great shave and setup Barry. I haven't used goo from a can in years, but adding a little water to the foam lather makes it more dense so I can see it becoming much slicker.

Very nice shave and setup, Chris. The Mühle R89 is definitely a mild razor so that it would tame a Feather blade.
