I decided to use my other Ralf Aust that I bought new 4 yrs ago. It's a great shaver. I always get a very nice shave with it.
I went with the CC North set today. It just makes an easy and creamy lather. It loves water. Here's my lather:



Three passes gave me a BBS shave without any incidents. Alum was silent. Witch hazel and matching aftershave was applied to finish this session. I just love when a straight razor shave goes so effortlessly. It does help that this edge was sharp. Lol! Take care.

Excellent barbershop shave today right down to the straight razor. I do enjoy the scent and the lathering capabilities of the soap. Would it be a repurchase? Yes, but not for a while as I have plenty in my den and I made my lone purchase for 2024. The 2024 purchased soap, from Pasteur’s, which be featured in tomorrow’s shave.

The weather has been cool, for Florida standards at this time of year, here in the Southern den. I am not complaining like the locals as it is still better than in the Northern den. I feel for you Joe, @Trigger.

Perhaps I was just being too fancy. I just meant I felt I did a good job on the cheeks, which included the ingrown hairs that have formed on each.

 

I just put in an order at Prororasso for 2(two)Shaving Foams, and 1(one)aftershave. I messed up twice but I'll stick with the order(s). How did I mess up. They will be on seperate orders, and I only intended all to be on the same. Also I originally meant 1 Shaving Foam, but I'll take the two.

 

Wonderful shave and setup Joe. We had plenty of rain in December and had more of the same yesterday and will be hit with another deluge tomorrow. I am fine with it because it's not snow. However. we are going to get much colder next week. It's expected to be so because we will be in the mid-January window of weather opportunities.

Prep: Hot shower with traditional Aleppo olive oil soap with 20% bay laurel oil

Razor: Supply matte black stainless 2.0 injector with SE comb plate / vintage US-made Schick Plus Platinum (4)

Soap: JM Fraser's Shave Cream

Brush: Jason's 30DC LE maple handle w/ APShaveCo 24mm cashmere synthetic knot

Lather Bowl: none

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Lucky Tiger After Shave and Face Tonic

Last shave: January 8 (Monday) - 3 days



New month, new year, so new photo -- of mostly the same old gear.

Nothing like a nice hot shower to warm up after being out in -30 temps for awhile. So I showered this evening. Then I shaved. I had been planning to grow a winter beard for a month or two, but decided that I own these things called scarves and neck gaiters that will do an even better job of protecting my face when I am outside without annoying me when I am inside.

One pass to a decent DFS with no errors and no squawks from the alum. The Lucky Tiger is hanging on by the fingertips. Maybe two more uses and I will have to move on to something else.

 

Fine shave John. Please don't take offense, but I would nickname the brush, the Great Canadian Goose. It's a lovely brush, my friend.
