Still on the treadmill with a Jiu Jitsu belt promotion coming for my son and birthday cake for my daughter topping off a long day tonight.

Today was a fairly rushed, low prep shave but still wonderful nonetheless. Went with a Turkish theme and tried out a Jikoryen Shave Stick.

It’s an interesting stick to say the least. It does not have the polarizing scent of Arko, so if you want a Turkish shave stick but can’t stand the smell of Arko, this is for you. I would give a slight nod on performance to Arko. The Jikoryen is a bit softer and more thirsty, but comes off the stick and right onto your face easily. I need a few hours to be sure, but I think this stick is also a bit more moisturizing than Arko, post shave. Either way great product and $20 delivered for 12 sticks is a bargain…

Still enjoying the CG razor. It’s so mild that I am now working up to sharper blades. I just really wanted to have a few days with the GSB’s.

Lab Blues got the call today, followed by Kai’s and Feathers before I move on to the next razor.

That's good to know, because it's been established, that using a multi-blade cart is CAUSING your ingrown hairs. You are not the only one who suffers from this poor design.

I have indeed looked at other types of disposeABLESs where the blade is already in. I'll have a closer look later on. BIC has been one of them. Something like a set of 4 or 5 razors-that could lat me maybe 20 shaves before it's time to buy another set.

Somewhat better shave this morning than that of yesterday. Nice work alongside the cheeks&sideburns, South Porcupine Alley(just above the jawline)was better than yesterday, but I still need to work on it. Tomorrow, I return to soaps, let's see if I do better. No cuts, 1 Knick, no polka-dots. One pass. The Stephan Bay Rum did its usual magic. I like that Bay Rum better than Gabel's. Super Duper Outstanding.

I have to say that I am thoroughly impress with the software. I picked up the Denton Majik Seagoer software just after the New Year from Pasteur’s as they were having a sale. I just could not let this pass as I have wanted to try Denton’s soaps for a while.

The soap is in a 25 ounce glass jar and the aftershave is 2 ounces. For me with my abundant collection this met the “Goldilock’s” criteria of “Just right.”. Any larger and I would not have been inclined to purchase it.

The scent profile of the soap is as follows: “Top notes are Lime, Bergamot, Melon, Green Notes, Lemon, Violet and Caraway; middle notes are Herbal Notes, Pine Tree, Ginger, Jasmine, Pepper, Cyclamen and Nutmeg Flower; base notes are Ambergris, Musk, Sandalwood, Oakmoss and Cedar.”

I did my usual three passes. The PAA GEM type razor did a wonderful job taking away this morning’s growth. The post shave feel of this soap and aftershave is just amazing. I have used so high quality soaps from Declaration Grooming, Barrister & Mann, Stirling, PAA and Carie’s Bubbles. IMHO, Denton Majik may just top them all.

Marvelous shave and review of Denton-Majik Seagoer Soap, Joe. I like the idea of their 2.5 oz puck so that it can be used up more quickly.

Once this latest round of experimentation is done, I will be doing some trading and PIF's to consolidate again. A box of 12 was the only way to order these...
