Day 4 January 10th Gillette Goodwill w Nacet (1) Omega Pro / Walnut & Brass Fine Platinum Thayers JOHS Tobacco Bay I’m loving this focus so far. This is probably my favourite soap base, truth be told. So why am I using it all up with a focus? Well, it will be a few months of fantastic lathers…and, I have pucks of the same base on the go in L’Orange Noir and American Blend. Plus unopened pucks of L’Orange Noir and Fresh Vetiver on top of that. The razor is another fave. Great everything today.
Wednesday, January 10 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson "The Hive"~~Gillette New LC/Feather~~West Indies Bay Rum Missed shaving yesterday, so the New LC/Feather had some serious stubble to remove. Beautiful, creamy lather, created with the able-bodied Simpson "The Hive". (Cheap Black lettering already wearing away) Splashed on a goodly amount of the West Indies Bay Rum for a finish with a flourish.

Thursday, January 11 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson The "Duke"~~Feather DX/Schick Proline~~Etat Libre d'Orange Secretions Magnifique Rockin' the Ethos. This 3017 is a goody. Feather DX is a formidable weapon. Unscathed, clean shave. Nice stank---ridiculous scent profile, which is entirely a marketing ploy.
January 12, 2024 Wolfman WR2 ( 1.05 mm blade gap) Gillette 7 O’clock Black Simpson CH2 Synthetic La Toja Shave Stick La Toja Aftershave Happy Friday at last. Whew what a week. Now that the La Toja is in a bowl and getting regular uses, I am tearing through the soap at a raid pace. I don't see this one last very long at all. It will be a repurchase for sure. Friday, January 12 Ethos Bay Rum~~Semogue 2012 LE Mistura~~1947 Gillette Super-Speed/Feather~~Montale Leather Patchouli Winter is coming. (GRRM/GoT) I had enough lather to shave a tribe of bearded Norsemen. In other words, the perfect amount for my kisser. Last shave with this blade. Typical four 'n out, Feather. Stank du jour is a leather bomb. Outstanding.
This week recap: The donught of death is expanding, maybe Jan or definately by Feb this puck will be done. A pair of Brian Brown 7/8 blades and Joris DE were the weapons of choice. A new stank entered the den this week. On the weekends I shelve the Tabac and get some variety, Saturday featured a 7/8 Art Razor and one my favorite stanks.
Day 6 January 12th Gillette Goodwill Stirling Finest/ Maple Fine Classic SS Thayers PAA Et tu Day 5 was yesterday, but without a pic. The Goodwill is a fine razor, and this lather is fantastic . Not much else to say. Have a great night all!
Saturday, January 13 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor~~Böker~~Barrister & Mann Kyovu Broke out the whetstones and went to work on the Böker. Started on a 4000 and worked my way up to my Shapton 16OOO Glass. Got give myself props (surprise, surprise), I was able to really improve the edge and it led to a great shave without tugging. Beautiful lather with the Ethos. Nice soap. Bay Rum stank to finish.
