    Hi All

Off day quick report. Another nice consecutive day shave with no issues. I went with the same setup as yesterday, partly because I wanted to work with the Jikoryen soap again on a shower prep day.

The CG razor with the Lab Blue blade performed even better today, which tracks for me. The second and third shaves on a Lab Blue blade are always the best two. The razor/blade combo felt like I was using it without a blade. Just a wiping sensation.

I do like the Jikoryen, but still give a slight edge to Arko for performance. It’s definitely more moisturizing than Arko however. I think I may stick with the Jikoryen in the winter and use Arko more often in the summer.

Have a great Saturday evening gentlemen….

fine shave Scott.many blades behave like this.like the rough edge of the coating on the blade.maybe?

Thank you Gary. I’ve always assumed it was the coating as well. It’s also definitely a more pronounced difference with the sharper blades…

Here we were in Venice in 2019, hole in the wall vending machine for fags...really? Really! Look at the choices!

    910 smokes.jpg

Filter less Lucky Strikes is what got my father in law aged 58.
I remember there was one guy at work in the 1990s who smoked Gauloise in his office, the blue haze seeped out the bottom of the door! Those were the days!

I tried really hard to learn to smoke cigarettes early on, it was "cool" then remember? I just got sick each time
Hang on: a Rum and Raisin pipe smoker on the bus next to me, oh Man! that smelt good, got to try that
Got me a pipe and tobacco: the whole world went green!
Decided Cigars were the answer, right? I mean the Cubans were real tobacco leaf, not just the bark and twigs they repackage as cigarettes
The world went ever greener! I could just cope with the Romeo y Julieta but not the Partagas! Way to pricey anyway Lol!

Anyway I am blessed to be genetically not capable of being a smoker

What did interest me in Italy was that their cigarettes (and many people rolled their own) smelt waaaaaay better than the stuff we get here. It smelt more like cigar smoke. I think 20% or more of folk in Italy smoke.

My own allergies are grass, pollen, trees, house dust mite and Cats, 'nuff said!

Anyway I digress, back on topic soon

My mother died at 74 from lung cancer because she smoked. Father lived to be 83 and quit cold turkey at 51. My eldest brother smoked cigars and my two other brothers and I didn't smoke. Yes, I did marijuana in college for a short time and tried the pipe for a month. I am glad that I didn't develop the habit of smoking. It is sad that I still see people smoking and knowing that they are slowly killing themselves. I would not wish anyone to have lung cancer. It is a terrible way to go.
