Due to a last minute invite for dinner, today turned out to be a quick, simple shave. I had picked up a cheap tube of Dettol at the Indian market this morning, and figured that a day when I have a Lab Blue at its smoothest, and loaded into a perfect mild razor made for a good time to test the cream.

The Dettol was fine. Definitely nothing special, but something I could pick up on a trip if needed. I worked it into the beard with my fingers for the most part. Then a few swirls with the brush. It was an otherwise nice DFS/BBS affair.

The lesson to myself for today is that I had my expectations regarding daily shaving backwards. I had expected it to be more complicated and less forgiving, but now that I have my dry face issues sorted out, it’s actually easier.

There is so much less beard to deal with and I get to skip that 48 hour growth first pass. It’s almost like I’m just starting at the second pass.

It’s leaving me with much to think about when this month is over. I’m starting to like being more clean shaven…

Terrific shave and setup Scott. I used to shave 2 out of every 3 days because I thought that I needed to give my skin a break. Now, I shave every day without any issues. Shaving every day makes it easier for me to shave and if I want to let it go for a day then I can do so and still look acceptable. I think your skin toughens up so that it can take a daily shave. Unfortunately, that's not always the case with some shavers.

I suspect you are correct Joe. I was not chosen by The Veg, but I think I have been chosen as a potential dailly shaver lol...
