    Paul, for many parts of my beard that works for me too, instead of going in one direction in the first pass, I am going in all directions of the compass. Guess it works because my beard is multidirectional. Get a much closer shave with less passes.
    Light and easy does it.

    Thanks Scott, slowly learning

    24 hours

    Prep = Cold Water Prep 30s soak x 3, Tabac in a tube as Pre shave
    Soap = TOBS tobacco leaf with 3 drops glycerine to add a bit slickness
    Brush = The Vulfix Old Original 1000A
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette The New OC long comb
    Blade = Shark Super Stainless (2)
    Passes = 2 + more buffing in all directions in the first pass
    Post = CWR, alum was singing a bit, left over lather to the face, CWR, Thayers, PR Barbe Dure ASL
    Scent = Bulgari Wood Essence
    Damage = None to face or back of neck
    Comments = Another satisfying result with the long comb The New. I like the way the lather layers up between the teeth, and leaves some lather on the face. It's a really cool tool.

    Awesome setup and shave Barry. I have never tried the Pinaud-Clubman soap, but I am sure it's good.

    Tuesday January 16 - Just Shaving with "J" Products January

    Prep: Hot face wash with Martin de Candre bar soap

    Razor: Supply matte black stainless 2.0 injector with SE comb plate / vintage US-made Schick Plus Platinum (5)

    Soap: JM Fraser's Shave Cream

    Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 synthetic

    Lather Bowl: none

    Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Lucky Tiger After Shave and Face Tonic

    Last shave: January 11 (Thursday) - 5 days

    I haven't been able to visit the site for the last few days. The cold snap here has affected local internet service for some reason -- my connection has been up and down like a yo-yo (down mostly) since the start of the weekend. And slow and flickering even when up. Very annoying. I am not even going to try loading a photo today.

    I usually get decent workable lather from the JM Fraser's Shave Cream, but today was really a standout performance with much creamier, thicker and slicker lather than normal. I believe the difference was that, after loading my damp brush and painting the lather over my face, I then re-wetted the brush with a bit more water than usual and worked up the lather on my face for a minute or two longer than I normally do. It made a considerable difference.

    I shall have to remember this for the future.

    One pass WTG on the face and ATG on the neck gave me a decent DFS. However the lather was so nice that I re-painted my face and did a second pass -- XTG on the face and WTG on the neck. Five days of whiskers gone, no errors, quiet alum. The Lucky Tiger provided a good finish.

    Great shave this morning :). The combination of the Dial prep and Mike's Natural soap works wonders, let me say that(oh, I just DID say that). Clean and clear alongside the cheeks&sideburns, with a little extra attention paid to the right sideburn area. Same result everywhere else. :). Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. I'll get another Mike's when this one runs out. The Paul Sebastian A.S. is great. Another nice&SOFT shave. As Outstanding As It Gets).
