Tuesday, January 16 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson CH3~~Cooper MonoBilt/Feather (2)~~Guerlain Vetiver EdT Over the years, I have had numerous CH3s. This is the one I have decided to keep. The knot is uber-soft, loads like a dream and feels ultra-luxurious on the skin. The Cooper---loaded with a Feather blade, is a force of nature. Finished with a traditional, manly and oh-so lovely stank.
I have a stick I got as an order top up from Gifts and Care in Spain. Haven’t tried it. Sounds like I need to grate it up.
I found another unopened stick this morning. The La Toja and LEA Menthol tubes of shave cream are both excellent if you are looking for something to top off an order. They are both on my repurchase list.
January 17, 2024 Wolfman Guerrilla Bronze Gillette Nacet Simpson CH3 Synthetic La Toja Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Wednesday! I had a follow up appointment with my general doctor this morning. I like their scales better than mine. They had me gaining only 2 lbs over the holiday. It was hard loosing the weight but I am finding it equal hard to maintain the weight loss. Now onto the shave stuff. Using all these Simpson Synthetic brushes have really slaughtered this soap. I started with roughly 50 grams grated into the bowl. I was down to roughly 23 grams remaining before the shave this morning. I feel confident this one will be gone by month end. Take care and have a great day.
According to my scales, I lost 65 lbs last year and gained back 10 lbs over the holidays. I really like the doctor's numbers better. Honestly, I am happy with my current weight.
Wednesday, January 17 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson PL8~~George Wostenholm & Son Pipe Razor~~Czech & Speake Cuba AS Acquired a new strop the other day, a NOS dubl duck Pearl Duck. Stropped the Wosty and I could really feel the drag of the blade on the strop. Results were very nice, except when I cut my left cheek. Gotta keep the momentum when straight-razor shaving. C&S Cuba is a lovely blend of tobacco with a skosh of anise.

Thursday, January 18 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson PJ2~~1958 D3 Gillette Adjustable (9)/Feather (3)~~Tom Ford Noir Anthracite Every time I return to the Fatboy, I ask myself why I don't use it more often? Finished with a terrific, winter scent from Tom Ford.
