26 Jan 2024 Australia Day shave 24 hours Prep = usual CWR and Preshave with Tabac in a tube Soap = SV Felce Aromatica Brush = Omega 10049 Bowl = Timeless Razor = Gillette 1938 Aristocrat No 15 Blade = Nacet (2) Passes = 2 + +. Buffing and ATG within each pass as needed with further clean ups as needed. Liberal ATG where needed Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, brush washings, CWR, Thayers, Stirling Bay Rum Scent = Wood Essence Damage = none Score = 9++. Well I have to say this is better than the last Best Shave Ever. Almost a 10. Can't ask for more than that Comments : ½ scoop into the timeless bowl. 7 cc water. Very nice lather but still not as good as the Stirling. Superb DFS and 80% BBS. The Nacet is definitely smoother on Day 2. Very cool combo this. I might bring this SV and Aristocrat mini focus to an end and see what comes up in the rotation tomorrow Have a super day everyone. Long weekend here. Australia Day.
Truthfully, I wasn't a Fine Accoutrements fan because their frags were mild. However, the soap is slick enough, At one time I had 9 different Stirling soaps and their matching aftershaves in my den. I think this brand is the best buy per oz and performance. Yes, there are soaps that have skin food that are much more expensive. That's why there are balms like Nivea for Men that take care of any dryness that occurs after a shave. However, @Hembree Danny is more of an expert on Fine Accoutrements. What do you recommend?
Today's shave-a near repeat of yesterday's-was quite good. Not a winner, but pretty darn close. A couple scary moments occurred, when I thought red stuff(blood)would be present, but I got by safely. Other than tht, clean and clear. 2 passes. Zero cut, Knicks, Polka-dots. The Bill Neumann aftershave, being the skin-friendly product it is(course the soap is, too), I think is helping good where the ingrown hairs are(cheeks and N.E. Cactus Nation). Perhaps an improvement can be made along the center jawline tomorrow. Just a little is all. Super Duper Outstanding.
-Friday- brit tech omega vito's adg good morning gents. another fine friday shave. vito's green lather again, smooth 2 passer with a late model brit tech, thayers and adg profumo to finish awesome. have a fine day everyone.
I love my Fine Accoutrements soaps but I have the old formula so I don't know about the new formula. The old formula was a milled soap and I understand the new is not. What have I really enjoy and is some of the best performing soaps in the den Hope this helps.
Shield Gem titanium cerakote razor. Gem blade (fresh). Yaqi two band badger brush. Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap. Timeless Razor shave bowl. Royal Copenhagen cologne. Awesome Gem shave this morning. I got about halfway through the first pass and the blade was tuggy. I thought it only had a couple of shaves under it's belt but it was way too rough. I loaded a fresh blade and oh yeah.....much....much better. Finished the with three drama free passes. Happy Friday everyone!
