    Thanks Joe, time to get stuck in to my To Do List!

    Thank you Scott.

    What is CK-6 Joe?

    Thanks for the suggestion Paul, will see if I can find this somewhere down here

    Super looking shave and quite a step up in razors. Glad it worked out for you!

    It stands for Crown King - 6 Formula. Douglas Smythe who owns PAA also had the CK-1 formula. He had both for a few years, but decided to discontinued the CK-1 original iteration. I believe the CK-6 has a better quality of ingredients and thus it's more expensive. To my knowledge, there wasn't a CK-2, CK-3, etc. because I have never seen it on the market. They may have existed, but failed to meet Douglas' specs or he just decided to name the new version CK-6 without previous versions other than CK-1

    An acceptable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

    Thank you Joe. I certainly feel like I’m getting a full handle on things now….

    I’ve never even looked at PAA soaps so good to know. Generally speaking, I’ve found brands that go over the top with label art probably need to focus more on what’s in the container as far as quality

    Prep = usual CWR and Preshave with Tabac in a tube
    Soap = Tabac
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Merkur Progress set at #3
    Blade = Nacet (1)
    Passes = 2 ++
    Post = CWR (already stinging), Brush washings, CWR, towel dry, Alum (more stinging), CWR, Thayers, Tabac ASL, Tabac AS balm.
    Damage = None

    Score = 9.8

    After yesterday’s shave I was still smoother in the evening than is normally the case. I blame it on the Nacet at this stage

    Another great shave from the Nacet today. The skin was tingling even with the Cold Water Rinse, never mind the Alum. I don’t remember the Progress getting me this smooth with any other blade. Super smooth start to the day. I don’t normally use balms because I find they block the pores but today I felt the skin needed it. The Nacet should be a bit smoother tomorrow

    Super Saturday to one and all

    Super Saturday Shave Barry. I have never tried TOBS Sandalwood and have heard that it was very good. Have you tried it?

    Sounds like your shave was super close Chris. Love Tabac and heard that Nacets are very good blades.

    Thank you Joe..No i haven't tried the TOBS Sandalwood, by all accounts it has a more sweeter Sandalwood fragrance. I will eventually get round to giving it a try, sandalwood is a firm favourite of mine.
