    Prep = Tap Water to face, bloom water as preshave
    Soap = Sterling Margaritas in the Arctic. Mild menthol
    Brush = Omega 10049
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Popular OC
    Blade = Nacet (1)
    Passes = 2 + only needed this morning
    Post = Tap water rinse, Alum, rinse, Thayers, ProraSo Rinfrescante
    Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme EdP
    Damage = none
    Score = Another 9+ score with the Nacet and Popular
    Comments = Everything worked out fine. Very little ATG needed. Still changing up the angle of the strokes in some areas, especially under the chin and jawline where things grow every which way. Lovely performance from this razor

    Summer is here: 41 Celsius on the way home from work today. 43 C predicted for tomorrow

    Came back with the Proraso group today. While I really like the aftershave, I must say I don't see a benefit in the Shave Foam, outside the scent. I'll work with it some more, but I'm not impressed so far. I see they have shave SOAP-maybe that's a better choice. All this being said, a fine shave today. I missed a bit on the center jawline(border between South Porcupine and North Cactus). Clean and clear otherwise. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. One pass. As I said, I do like the aftershave so far. Very Outstanding. Now I look forward to Fine February.

    Aylsworth Drakkant Open Comb razor.
    Yaqi Bohemian stainless steel razor handle.
    Astra SP blade (2).
    Yaqi 24mm synthetic brush.
    Lakewood Soap Company Smokeberry shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger cologne.

    The Drakkant and I got along better this morning. This a cap rider. I figured that if I put the flats of the cap against my skin and hold that angle it performs a lot better. The alum was warm in a few areas. I'll have her dialed in by the weekend.

    Happy Humpday everyone!

    Razor: AA Gen Takahashi Tokusei
    Brush: Shore Shave Granite Maple Badger Bullpen: Ever Ready 200T (Not Pictured)
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Pre de Provence No. 63
    Aftershave: Pre de Provence No. 63 Aftershave Balm
    Floid Genuine Vigoroso
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel

    Final shave of the month. I decide to go with the Pre de Provence No. 63 and the Shore Shave Badger. Both are birthday gifts from my daughter, soap three years ago and brush this year.

    First use with the Badger. The brush was soaked for well over two hours prior to use. Excess water was squeezed out and towel dried. The damp brush loaded for 60 seconds on the puck and then into the Timeless lather bowl. The soap gradually appeared and then subsequently disappeared into the deep recesses of the brush. I believe after some breaking in on the brush I will receive better results. While I do like badger brushes, for the reason above, I prefer the boars as a natural hair selection.

    The 200T to the rescue. I had the confidence that this brush would produce a nice lather with the No. 63 soap as they pairs well during my trip to France this past summer.

    Three passes with the Japanese straight left my face smooth and velveteen.

    I have to decide what muy plan of attack is for next month. Here are a couple of options:

    1. Use on two soaps while in the Northern den. Two because it is the second month of the year. Alternate the soaps.

    2. Use the WTF Vintage Barbershop during the weekdays leaving the weekend to shaver’s choice.

    3. Use any soap the has the letter “F” in the name, artisan or scent.

    4. Or strive for polka dots or :sport001: :happy088:
