Wonderful shave Chris! Glad you joined the ranks of über menthol heads. I loved Cryogen. I found that it needs plenty of water to get a good lather. It definitely is slick. I am one of the few that the heavy menthol doesn't cause my eyes to tear, but it does open up my sinuses.

Nice shave this morning. I got away with a scare down at Cactus(a line of red stuff, resulting from a cut).What do I mean. The cold-water rinse and the BIG sting from the Fine aftershave helped neutralize it. Is that the kind of tingle felt by the late Jack Palance in his famous Skin-Bracer ad? We'll never know, but I had Jack on my mind as I administered the Fine along my neck. Clean and clear along my face and both ends of Porcupine. In all, one cut, no Knicks, Polka-dots. Technique certainly trumps tools on this baby. I must do better tomorrow. Very Oustanding.

February 2 Headshave

Did a 3 pass headshave with my R102 and ended with a cueball smooth result. I'd get a weep, but no biggie. Alum feedback was at the nape, but nothing serious.
Did my usual postshave routine. I am not doing a face shave because I am still somewhat smooth with some areas of my skin feeling like sandpaper. Take care.

Superb Barbershop shave this morning. I do enjoy the Blackship Grooming aftershave. It pairs nicely with the Vintage Barbershop.

Another excellent three pass shave with the AJ Jordan Old Faithful straight razor. My face feels exceptionally smooth.

Regarding the lathering ability of the soap: It is just superb. Within a minute I have a wonderful thick and slick lather, air bubbles totally non existent. That being said, I still add a few drops of H2O to continue he the process for at least another minute. I am rewarded with an exceptional lather which would be enough for a head and face shave if I chose to do both. All from a small almond scooped size of soap.

if you have not tried any of the Wet The Face soaps, I would encourage you to do so. Have a great day gentlemen.

The standards keep diminishing Paul. How can you rate this shave as a Very Outstanding when you cut yourself?

I am totally baffled by the continuance of the same bloody results on numerous occasions. Trying to figure out what the constant issue might be. Too much pressure? Dull blade? Shave prep? I know you can do better.
