    Did a quick 3 pass shave. I didn't leak any blood. Lol! Also, because it was a fast shave, I would grade it just below BBS.
    Alum was mostly silent. Splashed on the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. I am happy with this shave. Take care.

    Hmmm. Good point. I have only ever looked at North Shore Razors' website and read customers' reviews of them on the forums. I have never gotten to the point of checking shipping costs between Hawaii and Western Canada....

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

    The Monsavon Au Lait along with MWF/Kent are some of my favourite shaving soaps. The post shave feel that both of these soaps give is absolutely superb, making each shave I have with them a very enjoyable shaving experience.

    A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

    My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Thanks Joe. We are spoilt with our shaving setups and options in this day and age. Have to admire our forebears who never had it so good.

    24 hours
    Prep = 3x cold water soak, Jermyn Street preshave
    Soap = Captain Fawcett's Scapicchio
    Brush = Omega Pura Setola
    Bowl = Timeless, still my go-to bowl
    Razor = Fatip Lo Storto OC slant
    Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock super platinum Black (2)
    Passes = 2 ++ including ATG top lip super BBS
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, brush squeezings, CWR, Thayers. Fine Latigo ASL

    Comments = Loaded from the puck, a bit messy, next time I will scoop into the Timeless bowl and see how that works. Lovely soap, needs a fair bit of water and some elbow grease but well worth the effort for a lovely lather, great slickness, no hint of drying out mid-shave
    Scent profile: Allegedly Fig, Olive and Bay Rum. My olfactory senses must be somewhat blunted, however I did get a hint of Fig along the way somewhere. I would have to say this has a very mild scent
    Perhaps it will get stronger as I use it more. Let’s see

    (Power back on after 27 hours: they reconnected last night at 6 pm after damaged cables were repaired and dug back underground: phew just in time for another 40+ Centigrade day)

    More dry heat tomorrow

    Keep well, one and all

    Nice Throwback shave this morning. I made a mistake in judgement on my Proraso order, as I should have bought the "Refreshing" set, not the "Coarse Beards". Ahh, I'll get the "Refreshing" later on. My "beard" isn't "coarse". But anyway, the shave went well. One pass, no cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Clean and clear all around. The foam still comes out squiggly-tomorrow, I'll hold the can under the tap to see if it comes out more solid. Super Duper Outstanding. (I always like to get a SDO rating on a Throwback Thursday).

    SRS # 1236 - Frequent Soap February Weekdays - WTF Vintage Barbershop
    (F -Razor February) - A J Jordan Old Faithful

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: AJ Jordan Old Faithful Cocolobo scales
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket 26 mm
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Aftershave: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    Wonderful close shave this morning with another of my vintage straight razors. The A J Jordan delivered an error free three pass shave.

    The PAA synthetic whipped up a nice amount of lather. This soap just explodes in the bowl.
    I have about 30 grams left of the soap. I had hoped to Fitzgerald this by the end of February. It will be very close but I suspect that the first week of March may be more realistic. Of course I could take it down to the Southern den in two weeks. Not sure how the TSA would view it in my carry on. No big deal.

    Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
