After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep: Shavemac 22mm silvertip ( I thank my lucky stars for not having SBAD..so far) Fatboy/ 7 0'clock sharpedge AOS 'lemon' SC LT AS I Profumi di Firenze 'Ambra del Nepal' EdP Hell of a fun shave in general. First time using an AOS product of any kind in two years. First and only experience was a bad reaction to their sandalwood cream, and I avoided trying another till now. Today though, I felt like using something totally different and new to me. Hehe, this sample had been sitting around for about a year, and the scent was mostly gone. I do remember liking the way it smelled a while back though........very true lemon EO scent to my nose. This was almost like an unscented version, which was fine for a one time shave. Briefly, this cream made up some of the very best lather I've ever used. I've been alternating between DR Harris and IK (both soaps), and this stuff fits right in that group. Very very thick lather, with plenty of protection and glide. Heh, it took all of about 20 seconds to get to the 'tiny bubble' stage, which was a kick! Oh, very good skincare also......none of the unpleasant reaction as with the other scent tried years ago. That stuff was a pleasant surprise for me. BBS was the result. Martin

New Year's Eve: Merkur "Mergress" / Gillette Swede blade Rooney 3/2 Finest Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Cream DR Harris: Pink & Milk Creed Bois du Portugal For some reason, I don't use the Rooney 3/2 Finest often, but when I do I'm reminded of what a nice brush it is!
OK, I had a hard time admitting to this one... Gillette HD Rocket 7 o'clock sharp edge day 9! B&B Essential T&H 1805 Boosters Iced Lime I got the essential just because it was raved about, and I had nothing to compare my brushes to. Can't say I am particularly impressed. To me it seems like a less dense 20mm best from golden nib. I like the handle though.
Ray, He might have gotten the newer one which isnt as good or dense as the original. Anyways.... Brush: Kent BK4 Razor: Ball tip tech with Red IP Cream: Derby Lemon AS: Thayers Lemon ASB: Aveda AS gel Cologne: T&H Freshman Derby SC sucks....bad.

It was a great shave. My essential is out of the 2nd batch which is not supposed to be as good as the first. I guess I just expected more. It is the first brush I have spent more than $5 on besides the ones I make myself.

IMHO Derby makes a decent cream. Nothing spectacular. This would be a YMMV cream. I like using the unscented in a Superlather. I have all 4 "scents" and once they're gone, they won't be replaced.
