    Good morning.

    I decided to go with my "straight razor on a stick" to deforest my face and neck. I chose the 45th Parallel soap for its slickness. My lather was creamy, but on the thin side and I am good with it. It's the slickness that's important to me and not the volume. Of course, I was not disappointed with this soap's performance. Here's my lather:

    Three passes gave me an error-free BBS result. Alum was mostly silent. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave and I am ready for the day. Take care.

    Back with the "middle six" of my Bill Neumann combination. A little better than yesterday, as I was able to work with a plan down at Cactus Nation. No difference from yesterday, other than what I just said. I got a little more "tingle" from the BN aftershave. I'd like to be able to apply more BN soap tomorrow, for the big finish(until next time, that is).But it all was real good.Super Duper Outstanding.

    Flexible, Favourite, Feather, Fatip, Fine, Felce, whatever grabs my Fancy

    Growth = 1 day

    Prep = Simply wet the face, forgoing my usual long soaks
    Pre Shave = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver Pre Shave to do its work while lathering up
    Cream = Proraso cream Cypress and Vetyver placed into the …
    …Brush = Omega EVO
    Bowl = Proraso Green bowl
    Razor = Rocket HD
    Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock Super Platinum Black (2)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual, Alum, CWR, Thayers, Proraso Pure Barbe
    Scent = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver Cologne
    Damage = none

    Score = 9+

    ** This PR green bowl is a bit small for my liking, brush hitting the sides, can’t whip the lather as well as in a larger bowl. But it is plastic, light, easy to grip, hard to drop, and if you do, it won’t cause any damage

    ** The EVO brush is a delight to use, easy to grip, thick synthetic densely packed but light fibres, thick knot and works great in painting mode or splaying mode to lather up against the grain. Soft on the skin too, easy to clean. It holds a lot of lather but is releases this nicely without hogging on to it. Could easily become a favourite especially for croaps and creams

    ** The PR pre shave has more of the Vetyver scent that I like so much, better than the actual shaving cream

    ** The PR cream stays nice and shiny throughout the shave without any hint of drying out but does leave more residue in the basin than other soaps. No big deal

    Hope you all had a great Friday
